Birthday Girl

Hello Friends

You will recall that I showed you a birthday card I made for my Scottish Dancing Teacher and I also showed you a photograph of her, well I could not resist making a scrapbook layout of that photo and three others now could I?  So as it is Tuesday, I thought I would share it with you....

The main papers are Daisy D which I bought a while ago and the blue are Co-ordinations and the red and white are Bazzill some of which are left over from my Christmas Album.  I have used an EK Success Punch, and Sizzix Daisy die as well as my Cricut for the letters.
Both pages side by side.  Yep, that is me on the far right photo and Angela is with Jo on the left of me.  Angela is Jo's granddaughter.

Some close ups.
The right side. On the letters I have used Stickles but it is difficult to tell from here!
Here you can see I have embossed all the daisies.  The stamps used are Tim Holtz, Hero Arts and Wendy Vecchi.  The rhinestones up the left side were scrounged given to me by Lesley, however, after she left I realised I wanted some for the right hand side.  No worries, I just got some clear ones and inked with a mixture of blues of alcohol inks!  Ever resourceful.  They should have let me be a Girl Guide.  As far as I know I am still on the "list"!!  There was a waiting list in our neck of the woods.  The buttons were a present on my place at the retreat last year!

Thanks for calling by.  I will take this to the Playground if you wish to have a closer look!

There you go again with more stunning layouts, Sam. I remember these photos and you have a lovely permanent reminder of them now. Love all the close ups of the details on the pages.
Stay warm.

Fabulous layout - and isn't she wonderful to still be teaching dancing at her age. Love the polka-dot buttons - they are perfect for your layout. Elizabeth xx

PS: are you all going to be doing something special for Burns Night?

Gorgeous layout, love the colours too. I was a brownie and girl guide and there was a list in my area too, in fact that reminded me that by the time I joined the brownies the uniform was practically indecent, I blame my long legs. Hugs, Amanda x

I really enjoyed your layout. Perfect to go with her tartan too.
Loved the flowers too! It is always so fun to see a picture of our virtual friends too!

It is amazing that your friend is able to be so active at her age.

I don't think I have ever mentioned that the girl next door who paper crafts with me had a daughter in Scottish dancing. Sadly, she removed her this year as after a year of classes, she still could not master any basic step...
Our other scrapping friend (who meets us at the crops) has a 6 year old daughter in Kindergarten who is really talented. They go all over the province to competitions and also into the United States!

She barely has time for crops as they are away dancing so much.
I digress...thee point was that both girls have scrapbooked Scottish Dancing pages for the past year at every crop! I have learned many of the tartans and always watch for tartan design paper or tartan ribbon for them.
