How Small Can I Go? Twinchie

Hello Friends

The lovely Peeps over at Show Us your Twinchies are asking for Flowers this month.  Well, regulars to my blog will know that I have been dabbling with painting Sheena Douglass style lately so without further ado.....

Yep.  A Mini painting of Daisies.  My friend wants this as a brooch so I am trying to figure out how to turn this into one for her, maybe using UTEE?  Any ideas I would be grateful.

Thanks for calling by.

Twinchies II - Made Up

Hello Friends

Do you remember the Snippets I made HERE?  Well, this is what I did with them!  Gathered up some Snippets, stamped some backgrounds, used my new Sizzix dies that "fell" into my basket when going on a Santa's Elf trip to Hobbycraft to buy a Big Shot for my friend for Christmas on behalf of her Hubby!   Well, I did have a 25% off voucher so it would have been so rude not to have used it! I also bought two other sets for both Lesley and Mandy and boy did they nearly not get them!!

Four cards made ready to send to various peeps!   The sentiment is Hero Arts.

Thanks for popping by.  It is nearly the weekend! Yeay!!!  Got anything nice planned?   I can hardly believe it is the end of the first month of 2013 - whereditgo?!!

Twinchies - Anything Goes II..

Hello Friends

I was having a little bit of a tidy up in my Craft Room the other day and I came across this lickel stamp on the front of a recent Craft Stamper.  Well, had to have a play didn't I?

Stamped with Archival and embossed with clear embossing powder then coloured with either Copics or Distress Markers.
I stamped and coloured two flowers in each colour, masked one and stamped the background stamp with matching ink, cut out the other one and shaped them before adhering over the bottom flower.
I shall be entering these into the Twinchie "Anything Goes".

Thanks for calling by.  As I am reading this Mother Nature is covering all the ground with white stuff again.  We could do with some pretty flowers right now!

Sending a Hug...

Hello Friends

You may recall this Twinchie I made on a recent post, well this is what it turned into..

I am hoping the recipient will have received it by now and that this post will not be seen too soon.  I have sent it to a Playground friend over the water who is having a bit of a rough time right now.  I hope it cheered her up a little and let her know she is thought of.  The sentiment, which is partly obscured by the ribbon, says "Wishing you strength for today and hope for tomorrow" and is made by Kaisercraft.

The card is Bazzill and I used Victorian Velvet DI the same as in the image.  The ribbon was out of my Snippet tin having been on a birthday present of mine last year!  I don't waste anything.

Twinchies - Anything Goes...

Hello Friends

The Peeps over at Twinchie Twinchie have started on the first challenge of the year with "Anything Goes".  I have not joined in on the Twinchie challenge for some time but hope to get back to them now that Christmas is over.  As soon as my Craft Stamper arrived I knew I wanted to use the stamp so here it is....

I inked the stamp with Ranger Archival black ink and embossed with clear embossing powder.  Using my Victoria Velvet Distress Pen I first coloured the larger wings directly with the pen and then scribbling the pen on a block, I used a watercolour pen to colour the smaller wings.  I just love how you can get different effects with the Distress pens.  I cut the paper to size and then inked the edges with some Victorian Velvet Distress Ink and hey presto Twinchie complete.

Thanks for calling by and hope you like my Twinchie.

Twinchie Card - Tempus Fugit

Hello Friends

I wanted to send a card to my Aunt and Uncle, not seen them for a while and I want to pop by and see them next month, so I thought I would make a lickle Twinchie card.  I thought the "Tempus Fugit" stamp (free from Craft Stamper magazine) was quite appropriate in the circumstances!
Some Snippets including Basic Grey, some "lace" I made for a project and Bazzill cardstock all out of my Snippets boxes (yes I have more than one box of Snippets) so I can take this into the Playground whilst Teacher is still on her "Teacher Training"!!   The dandelion stamp and flower are from Hero Arts and the Hello is an SU stamp.  There are also some Perfect Pearls but not that you can see in this photo.  My favourite technique of spritz and flick in evidence here too! (Sorry it is not the best photo but I took it under electric light!  The card is white honest!)

Thanks for visiting and please sign in so I know you have been here.

Twinchies - Show us a Flower

Hello Bloggers

The Folks over at Twinchie Land have asked us to "Add a flower" for this current challenge. So here are mine.....

And as usual I have turned them into cards so that they serve a purpose....
The images are from a new set of stamps which my buddy Kim sent to me for my birthday by Inkadinkado - thank you again Kim, and all the sentiments are from the same set, bar the Happy Anniversary which is by Hero Arts.  A little Distress Ink water colouring using a water colour brush and edging before mounting onto cardstock and then adhereing onto cards.  The Anniversary one is for my Mum and Dad who celebrate their 57th Anniversary next month.  Hmmn!  Not long until their Diamond Anniversary, but mine and the current Mr Hettie's Silver Anniversary is before then.  Gosh!  That makes me feel soooo old!  Especially when you consider that I was one of the last from my year at school who got married!  Awwww!  Such a Happy Day!!

All the cardstock came from the Snippets box so I will be throwing these into the Snippets Playground.  Hope they don't get wet!

Huh hum!  Back to business!  There is still time (just) if you should want to join in with the Challenge.  Click HERE for details.

Twinchies - Show us your Bright Colours

Hello there Bloggers

What a lovely weekend we seem to have in store weatherwise!  I hope you are all having a good weekend, the last of the UK Olympics.  Haven't they been FANTASTIC!  Not only have Team GB excelled but the whole Olympics has been great!  Don't quite know what I shall do when it is finished.

Talking about winning, have you noticed the new Blinkie on the top right hand side?  How pleased was I yesterday when I found out.  Click HERE if you wish to see the winning piece.  AND as if that wasn't enough I have three more Followers, Jan, Eileen and Ann.  Welcome aboard and thank you for following me.

Now then.  Down to business.   A friend of mine left a message on my blog the other day stating that she wanted to see my Twinchies.  Well, I couldn't leave the gauntlett on the ground now could I?  So I had a little fun.  The theme on the Challenge blog this time round is Bright Colours.  So I put my thinking cap on and decided to use one of the freebie stamps that come with Craft Stamper and picked some of my favourite and brightest Distress Inks (Mustard Seed, Peeled Paint, Barn Door and Dusty Concord).  I stamped the image with Black Soot and embossed the image with clear embossing powder.

Here is what I came up with......

And I put them to use.......

I hope you like my take on the Challenge and why don't you join in?  Here is a link for you HERE.

Whatever you are doing this weekend, have fun!
