WOYWW 189 Again? How did THAT happen?

Hello Fellow WOYWWers

Guess what?  It is Wednesday AGAIN!!  How did that happen? I only managed to finish visiting desks from last week and here we are again.  If you don't know what I am prattling about then go HERE and visit the Lovely Hostess of this worldwide - yes WORLDWIDE blog hop that happens every Wednesday by daft lovely bloggers.

So without further ado this is my desk as I left it last night.....

I am currently procrastinating over a layout and am hoping to post it on my blog later this week to meet a current challenge.  Ho Hum!  I can see my herbal tea there and Monkey has his feet on the mug keeping them warm. I can see some stamps there that need cleaning and putting away - oops!  Any volunteers?  The pad on the left is where I am jotting down what I use so I am not racking my brain as to what I used.
For those of you who commented on my tin and my keeping ink pads on their sides, I have modified my tin slightly for you.   I have kept my ink pads on their sides for quite some time in Cadburys tins to no ill effect but several peeps commented that they should be kept flat.  Actually, this tin on its side works well, as they are easy to get at and look!  Another place to dump rest stuff on!!  Why two ATG guns?  One is for scrapbooking and the other is for cardmaking and gift wrapping (non acid free).  Well they were on offer at a ridiculous price so why not?
And for those who asked what was in my used Yankee Candle jar, here is a close up.  Clothes pegs with ribbons on. I popped some in here so they were kept clean and to hand whilst working on my (nearly completed) December Album but now I think they will stay in there, and I have another jar(s) which I can recycle this way.

A lickle birdie has told me it is Darnell's Anniversary today so Happy Anniversary to you and the Hunk!

Right.  That is my desk today.  I shall call by later on today (have to work to earn the pennies to pay for my habit).  Don't forget to stop by the Lovely Lady and see some other desks.

Hettie

Thanks so much for the tin tip... Both I and my sister-in-law Laura, of Laurart, are now the proud owners of the same tin!! Haven't yet decided whether I'll partially alter mine after the success of the last one! Love your clothes peg jar - they look so adorable! Happy WOYWW...

Monkey has the best idea in cuddling up to the hot cup! It's freezing here so we may try that.

Hehehehehehehe, back again! I don't think it matters how you store Tim's ink pads, but it does matter with some of the other ones, especially if they're very wet!

Happy WOYWW day....

Love your bobbins of ribbons in the jar. I never burn all the candles to empty the jars and the coffee ones always smell so I now use a fruit bowl!

I think using the tin that way on is brilliant, an extra shelf on a scrap desk is always welcome if only to have somewhere to dry Stickles and Glssy Accents - which always get knocked or touched when left on a desk!! Annette #3

OK, now I have another question for you, lol I see you have a glass board raised up on some wooden slats, am just curious as to why. I use a glass mat myself but it's laying flat on my table, so was just wondering if I should raise mine up too? lol

Love seeing the pics of your crafty and creative space! I do store my ink pads flat but in a little crate, I wonder if I could tip it up sideways like yours to be able to see what is where like yours! The ribbon on the pegs is very pretty!
Thanks for the visit to my blog and the lovely comments!
xoxo Karen

Tim Holtz does not clean his stamps, just a water wipe off. Not sure I can do that! Can't wait to see the layout!!! Enjoy the evening!

Hello Hettie,

I noticed the jar with the pegs in it straight away. I just dumped most of my ribbon in a large glass jar and love all the colors mixed together.

I've also heard that you should store your markers on their sides (if they have tips at both ends). That's something that I've done and I've owned my markers for almost 15 years.....

Happy WOYWW

I love the ribbons on the clothes pins in the jar. I also like what you've done with the tin - turning it on it's side - very clever.

Yeah, jars full of categorised or colour ribbons on pegs like that would look delicious. I could go for that...just sleep with Mr D for MORE shelves, work to buy MORE jars...and the hardest bit..make time to wind the ribbons! You first, I think!

Love how you store your ribbon! Should totally find myself a jar, too!
Happy belated WOYWW from Egypt. xx

And yet another desk where I felt right at home. Hmmm, maybe I'm not so 'messy' as I thought. Perhaps I'm just an undiscovered creative person! Thank you for building my organization self-esteem! Loved seeing all your treasures. On the TH pads, I've been told you should store them with the ink pad part facing down to avoid drying out...not sure if this is so, but that's what I changed to. I was storing mine 'sideways' (like as in filing stuff...a friend told me not to). On the markers, not sure what kind you had, but read a comment about storage...with copics you can store 'whatever way', but with the Spica pens (a copic product) one must keep sideways. The metallic bits supposedly clog the tips. Ok, not sure if I passed along viable data, but FWIW! TFS your creative space. Hugs

Thanks so much for joining in with LillyBo Quilts! I'lll post full details in a day or two and we can get the ball rolling. LLJ knew you would but I would never presume!!
I love/ adore your jar of ribbons.. it looks like something off pinterest!
I remember Tim Holtz telling me that it really doesn't matter how you store Distress inks because of their viscosity and mine have been ok and I get more in the tin for when I dem.
