Birthday Card for my Niece

Hello Friends

Well, I am not sure whether it is Friday or if the weathermen have got it wrong again as it is currently tipping it down with snow here!  I guess it is the latter!

I forgot to post this card on my blog (it did go by post on time) which is the one I made for my niece for her birthday at the beginning of the month.  As you can see I used my new favourite stamps from Artistic Outpost (which reminds me, I have some more coming and hope they don't get delayed 'cos of the weather :0( ) and it I have used the card I made it in a similar style to THIS one but more friendly to go in the post.

I used a piece of K&Co matting paper for the background, Tim Holtz Co-ordinations for the Bingo which is a TH embossing folder, then sanded it and inked with Vintage Photo Distress Ink.  The "ribbon" across the bottom is the strip off a MME paper (you know the bit with the name of the paper that you cut off - don't waste nuffink me!), run through my ribbler, inked and adhered with a button out of my pot.  I can now share this with the Playground where a few of us are going to build a Snow Chook later!  Woo Hoo!

Some more of that lace someone gave me, flowers that I have had in my jar for eons with a brad and hey presto a card for my niece.  Not sure if she liked as I have not had any feedback!!

I can also enter this into the Simon Says Stamp Challenge as it contains lace and their theme this week is Lace Love.  Well it was for my niece who I love very much, as I do both my nieces of course!

Have a great day and mind how you go in the snow or even better, stay warm in your crafting room!

Hettie

Darn it . . . you're getting snow again. I only have weak sunshine! Looking forward to getting snow tomorrow!

I like your new AO stamps and this card is really great. Love the way you use your snippets.

Beautiful card, I adore this angelic image from AO. Beautiful embossed background and added flower too. Your niece will love this, one to cherish. Thanks so much for joining in the Simin Says Stamp and Show Challenge. Tracy x

A really great card, Sam - the burnished orange of the embossed layer gives it such warmth and, of course, with my favourite image there it was always going to win my vote! Delighted to hear you've got some more AO stamps on the way; fingers crossed for safe, fast delivery - can't wait to see what you've got yourself to play with!

Hi Sam

Well I am finally catching up with myself after the Christmas/New Year break and my week of no internet connection!!!

I am sure your niece loved her card .. .. so many lovely elements .. .. and a reduction in the snippets in the process. Win, win!!!

Have a good weekend.

Love Jules xx
