Hello Bloggers
I don't like to tempt fate, but when I left the office tonight the sky actually wasn't leaking and nowsome 4 or so hours later it still hasn't leaked! Woo Hoo. All we need is a few more hours (say 100 or more) and we may be able to cut the grass!! Nah! No chance ey.
Never mind. How about I show you a layout tonight then? You want to see? Okay then. Here it is...
Mr Hettie and Dobby enjoying a moment in the garden when we had some sun about two years ago. When we come home from work we like to sit together on the patio (well at least in the summer) with a cup of coffee (and maybe a biscuit or two) and talk about our day and what we plan to do for the evening, however, this summer - no chance! We have had to resort to sitting at the dining room table instead.
Love this flower. It is actually made using the Tim Holtz Tattered Florals die! And a button in the middle of course.
The Moments is also another Tim Holtz die cut out of a delivery box and painted with stencil paint with some copper wax smooshed on the top.
Lots of punchings on the there. If you look carefully you can just about see our bee hive in the background.
Love the shape on this one. You can see some tearing of the corner too. It was a square torn in half diagonally and tucked under the frame. And a fair bit of doodling around the edges.
Hope you like it and please let me know what you think by signing in the Visitors Book, so I can pop over to see you later!

Hi Hettie
Wish l could say our sky hasn't leaked, we currently have large amounts of water gradually rising up our drive with people driving through it at high speed! Beautiful July heh?
Love your layout and design. Only made one scrapbook page so not au fait with them but think l may give it a try :)
Have a lovely evening xx
Don't I look keen launching straight in here after you've just posted?! Actually I tend to visit blogs from my dashboard just before bedtime and then a quick catch up in the morning (those darn Americans are so inconsiderate posting while I'm asleep!)
Love the colours on this layout.... they are sort of autumnal but work well for those heady summer evenings, like we've been dreaming about!
I like the torn corner and the little tabs, and that flower is a big wow statement!
You've been so lucky today, Sam. The sun was shining here and it was actually quite...dare I say... hot and I happened to mention cutting the grass after the tea was in the oven and lo and behold within 5 minutes the heavens opened and we had a terrific storm. Oh well the grass cutting will have to wait!!
It sounds very civilised in the Hettie household discussing your day over a cuppa in an evening. I like the sound of that. It's a lovely LO with lots of lovely details.
Hugs Lisax
Hello there Sam, The weather's been absoluely dire and the grass loves it LOL Never mind eh! Gorgeous LO on your scrapbook page and the flower is stunning in the check paper, yum:0) I have never done a full 12 x 12 page, one day but it won't be as lovely as yours, Gay xxx
Great LO Sam - off to bed early for a change here :) Di xx
Its very nice - I dont know anyone else who has a beehive so I am very impressed!
Gorgeous layout and love the colour combo, very summery colours. We have just finished our patio and had about three evenings where we were able to sit and chat and we loved it but now the patio is mostly waterlogged. Everyone around here blames us cos it hasn't stopped raining since we finished it lol. Heres to a few sunny days. Hugs, Amanda x
Gorgeous flower, Sam! I have that die but haven't made any flowers that pretty. Guess i'll have to experiment some more. Also, love your ' memories'. Looks very much like metal!

Hi there Sam, I'd love to see your twinchies too,LOL Thanks for your kind comments:0) Gay xxx
That's a great LO Sam, really love the colours so summery, at least you can have summer in your scrap room if you don't have it outside yet! Sounds like a nice little ritual you and the boy have, pity it's been too wet to sit out this year but I bet your garden is looking really green and lush.
Hugs
Brenda
