Scrapbooking Tuesday - One Fine Day...

Hello Blogging Friends

I hope you have all had a wonderful Bank Holiday weekend.  Wasn't it nice to see a bit of sun again?   Unfortunately I was a poorly bunny at the start of the weekend but have now rallied around just in time to go back to work!

You know I recently told you that April is a busy month for me Birthday wise?  Well, one of the Special Birthdays was Mr Hettie's and as usual I made him something daft for his Birthday, and I thought I would share it with you today as it is a Mini Scrapbook.  You might want to make a cuppa or get a glass of something as this is a little picture heavy!

The cover was made using a heavyweight chip board which I painted with some red emulsion, before stamping with Black Soot DI and also rubbing some BS DI over the surface.
I used my trusty BIA to bind the whole book together and added some Snippets of ribbon and two small charms.  The saw is a hint of what is to come!

The main papers used are some We Are Memory Keepers papers which I bought ages ago with an album, that I had quite forgotten about, as well as some Snippets from my Snippets boxes.  I turned to my Diesel Punk, Think and Wonder and Lovely Day Artistic Outpost stamps for stampings.  I also used my new Inkylicious Splodge stamp to look like oil blobs!

The arrows and other embellishments were cut using various Sizzix dies.  Zips from my sewing box for extra layers.  Yes this is yours truly!!  These photos were taken in the early 1990s!!
Those car stickers I have had forever.  I also doodled on all the pages.  Added some pearls, buttons, sparklies, and brads.
This piece of punched ribbon was made for my Christmas Album!  Tee Hee!
Please excuse the pun.......
Some Martha Stewart punchings..
These little glasses were a broach which comes from when I used to work for an opticians....1986-1989!  Talk about hanging on to things "just in case"!
And here is Sputnik casting an eye over the project!
The little white printed arrows came from Wilkinsons and are like post-its! I knew they would come in handy at some point!
Some Czech stickers we bought on one of our trips.

And here is the back cover with a car sticker.  Fortunately we had two so Mr Hettie didn't mind too much!

I hope you enjoyed my Mini Album for Mr Hettie.  I shall be popping it over to the Playground as there are sooo many Snippets in there.  I shall also be putting it into the Artistic Outpost Challenge as I have used my AO stamps.

Have a good week everyone.

Hugs

Hettie

Wonderful Sam! So, so much work and detail went into this album - Simon must have been well pleased (and you did only use one of his precious stickers - grin). I love it!!

Just saw your too funny comment on my vintage card!
Which die cut did you like? The snowflake long border one is Memory Box of course and the small snowflake with the button added is a die set of several snowflakes.
I will cut whichever one it is that you love and mail it...what colours do you like? I have done it in a creamy ivory...can cut some white, kraft, ivory etc...just let me know!
You got my other package right?
Dashing off to visit my eldest who just flew home last night...so much to catch up with her!!!

Your mini looks great...I will check out the shole post when we get back tonight. We have to go into the city of Vancouver...about an hours drive each way. Should be fun as she is near the Granville Island Market and the waterfront at False Creek.
Always fun to catch the litte Aqua Busses and pop into the shops. The have great specialty food items as Vancouver is so multicultural!

Popped back again as I rushed thru the piccies last time. Wow! What a great book! You did a fabulous job...I loved the arrow through the die at the beginning and the oil splotches were perfect!

OMG you look so young and stylish in that hat. My eldest wore hats like that and she's pretty stylish too!
