WOYWW 174 - Oops! In the middle of something...

Hello Friends and Julia

Today is Wednesday when a few Crafters show their desks as part of the Round the World Blog Hop with the lovely Julia.  Sorry I am late Miss.  I was on my way in to my room and decided to slip at the top of the stairs and find out how hard the steps into my Craft Room are.  I can tell you they are very hard and having visited Nevill Hall Hospital, they confirmed that I managed to sprain my ankle in the process.  Hence why I am late!  Oops!

Anyhoo, here is my desk as of about 5 minutes ago.....

....exactly as I left it last night when I decided the wind and rain was so heavy and hard that I did not want to be in my room any more.  All I wanted to do was sit on the settee with some knitting in front of a log fire!

You can see Kitty and Monkey have become great friends.  My stamps are still out as well as my Cadburys Fingers tin of Distress Inks which hold the second half of the alphabet inks in...the first half being in the other tin just out of shot.  To finish the cards I will have to make some ribbon with a punch and add some embellishments. The stampings are part of my CC2C challenge and I will rectify the messiness right now and finish them off.

I also wanted to let Julia know that Fergus has already packed and is ready for next week's fun Crop and he asked me to make sure to get a photo of you all with him for his Scrapbook.  He also asked me to ensure that his Scrapbook was up to date as it is a little behind at the moment!  That was telling me ey!

Right then.  Off to visit some desks then tidy mine.

You'll have to put more water in it next time!! Seriously, glad you haven't broken anything but sprains are bad enough.. :( You only did it to get out of the decorating...I know you too well :D As long as you can still come next week!

Oh no sorry to hear of your fall, hope it doesn't interfere with your crafting. For a moment I thought the cadbury finger boxes were full of well cadburys fingers and I was getting my coat to help you finish them off but looks like you have beaten me to them lol. Hugs, Amanda x

Ouch Sam, poor you, you need that Welsh brew and cake even more now! Rest up that ankle in front of the fire with your knitting :)

Did you eat all those chocolate fingers to use that tin? If l allowed myself l could quite easily eat a packet without a smidge of guilt lol

Happy WOYWW, sending you gentle recovering hugs xxx

Well, I've heard of some excuses for being late to class, Sam!!!! Seriously though thank goodness it was just a sprain and nothing broken. Make sure you rest up and get Hubby running around after you.

Painful, as I know. Ended up strapped up for 6 weeks when I did mine - hope you are OK now.

Like the Santa stamp, think I have that one as an unmounted - jolly fellow isn't he?

Ah.... you and the cat, both conducting experiments with gravity today. It still works! Sorry to hear about your ankle. A tin of fingers, it sounds so Halloween. But distress inks are so much more useful.

Good grief gal, what a scare..you're going to be bruised, poor thing. Tell Fergus the truth about getting his album up to date.....better now so he can work off the sulks!!! Am impressed that the ink pads are in alphabetical order between the tins....or is that afraid? !

Good luck with the sprained ankle0- they can take forever to heal completely. Apparently, or so I was told, its actually better to break than sprain, as breaks heal faster! Not sure anyone in plaster would agree with that though!Love the Christmas stamps on your desk, gorgeous images.Have a great week, Shaz #58

I hope you recover quickly - at least you can do so by resting at your craft desk!

You need to stop taking it neat out of the bottle, or perhaps only drink when you're actually in the craft room! Sounds painful, hope it's healing. Glad to see someone is getting on with crafting still, I did sit down and do some sock knitting last night, seems I'd rather do that than papercraft these days! I made raspberry and white chocolate bars with raspberry and white chocolate frosting at the weekend for someone's birthday at the track.... and discovered too pieces in my fridge yesterday that I couldn't get into the container on Sunday morning! That cheered me up no end I can tell you!!!

Hope you are feeling better than yesterday. Take care of your self, and rest up. Thank you for your visit. You will be glad to know that my desk is now a total wreck. In fact my room is a wreck. Tomorrow is trying to put everything back where it belongs so that I can do what I need for myself. I will try to post photos tomorrow before i start the clear up. xx Maggie #35
