Out of the mouths of Babes
We who have taught, or love children who have been taught, know this is funny! From the diary of a Pre-School Teacher.
My five-year old students are learning to read.
Yesterday one of them pointed at a picture in a zoo book and said,
"Look at this! It's a frickin' elephant!"
I took a deep breath, then asked..."What did you call it?"
"It's a frickin' elephant! It says so on the picture!"
And so it does...
" A f r i c a n Elephant "
Hooked on pho nic s! Ain't it wonderful? Now that's funny, I don't care who you are.

Brilliant Sam. Hope you're healing well. Bet you're like the leaves on the trees...changing colour by the day!
Hugs,
A x
Thanks for a good laugh - out of the mouths of babes and all that. Hope you continue to improve day by day - as Annie says, you're possibly 50 Shades of Purple in some places!
Hugs, Di xx
Picture not showing up . . . but I "get it" without it . . . dun you worry!
Made me chuckle.
Here's some mor arnica for those bruises . . .
xxxx
Brilliant Sam - as an ex Infants teacher I can second that one!! Hope you are on the mend.x Jo
I love it. Glad to see your sense of humour is not suffering too many bruises. You need to employ Madame Hooch to help you to master that broomstick for future lessons. Take care. xx Maggie
