Hello there
Thank you all for your kind comments on Tracey 's passing. I appreciated them all. A farmer friend of mine told me that Warren hens usually average four years so I guess nearly six was very good😊
Onto my post today which is a card I made for my friend Patti's Birthday.
I made my own card so that it could be top folding and perfectly fitted one of the plethora of envelopes I seem to have. Then I took a snippet of white card and stamped it using my SU stamp and Versamark and embossed with white WOW embossing powder. I then used Distress Inks and inked the background. I took a Snippet of black cardstock and ran it through the B/S with SU embossing folder. I trimmed the papers to fit the card, diecut several Smiles using Penny Black die and stacked them but needed something else. I remembered a video I had seen and pinned to make bows using the Memory Keepers envelope board so set to. A button on top of a punched circle SU punch NBUS and I was happy.
So with Snippets and two NBU S (punch and bow technique) I am off to join the parties at the Playground and Playhouse.
Thanks for calling by.
Hettie

Yay for clever you on fitting this pretty card into 2 great challenges. Love that wonderful background you've created & especially liked that embossed darker piece on the top. Really added a special touch of elegance with that rich color & deep embossing. Lovely bow as well. TFS & Hugs
Simply gorgeous and wonderfully lush! Reminds me of strawberries or raspberries and cream - don't know why though lol! Love it, lucky friend, hope you are starting to feel better after that bug and sorry to hear you lost one of your chicks, we do get very attached to our friends. I love the bow die cut - fun and gorgeous too Karen x
Well I agree with everyone else that this card is really rather gorgeous Sam.

Oh my your little Tracey lived a nice long life then, that is wonderful she could live it with you. I love, love your card Sam! The color is so rich and pretty and the design stands out so nicely. Love your cute bow made from the envie punch board, that board is so amazing isn't it?! Hugs, Brenda

I love that bow! Now that you said it was made with the envelope board I can see it with the notches. The color of this cards is YUMMY as well. So vivid and bold! But that bow--the topper that tops them all! Whee!
This is a WOW card! You have definitely inspired me to get out my white WOW embossing powder and my distress inks and give it a try...Just lovely!
Such a pretty stamp and a gorgeous colour card. Kate x
How about that? Tracey was so happy with you and Simon that she stayed almost two years longer on this side of the bridge! I'm moving in with you guys when it's time for me to go out to pasture!
Now, Sam, this card is about the most vibrant, delicious card I've seen! I say "delicious" because if that bow doesn't look like it's made out of fondant, I don't know what does! You are AWEmazing!! Thank you so much for playing in my NBUS Challenge #4! You've visited the playground and the playhouse, now it's on to the penitentiary and the poolhouse and you can top it all of with the penthouse!! Hugs, Darnell
Oh pretty... I love that bow!
