Woo Hoo Post 200 - Flippin' eck Ethyl!! Friday Snippets

Good Evening Peeps and Happy Easter to Y'all!!

I am very surprised to find that this is my 200th posting on this 'ere bloggey thing!  Thank you to all my lovely Followers, including my latest Purple Princess.  Thank You One and All!

Well for tonight's post it is my usual Friday posting of Snippets.  A little tongue in cheek as there are not really alot of Snippets involved but every little Snippet helps ey!!

So here are some Easter cards for my family and friends, so feel free to take one for yourself!

You may notice a little Tim Holtz Creative Chemistry magic involved in that I used my Distress Inks of Dusty concord, Broken china, Wild Honey and Mustard seed to colour the stamp in no particular order and then spray with water using the mini mister before stamping on watercolour paper.  Love it!!  I then covered a card with some lilac cardstock added the image using foam pads, tied a little ribbon around and then made some lace with the TH lace die, snipped a little off and added the Hero Arts flower with some punched leaves (again snippets) and hey presto my card.  I will tell you now I had faffed making these for ages, then decided simple was best!

As I actually made 6 images with the Cross but only needed 4 for Easter cards, I decided to use up the last two in order to make two Sympathy cards.  I don't know about you but I do not like making these when they are needed so if I make them now I can keep them ready for such an occasion when they are needed. I used a darker purple for these and stamped the front.  Hope you approve.

Well, don't forget to join in at the Playground with all the other Snippets crew headed by the holder of the keys Di.   Bagsy the swings tomorrow!!

Happy Easter to you all and don't eat too much chocolate in one go!

Hugs

Hettie

Well done on 200 posts Sam! I love your snippets Easter cards, plus those you made into Sympathy cards - am totally with you on not liking to make them so I also keep some in reserve.

Sorry it's taken a while to comment - I was ironing for Great Britain yesterday, practising for the Olympics!!

Have a lovely Easter, see you in the playground. An Easter Egg Hunt would be good - and I wonder how many playmates will be wearing new Easter outfits :)

Di xx

OOOOOOo lucky recipients!!(well for the Easter ones obviously not the sympathy card...agree in that they are very difficult to make at the time).
Beautiful cards. Love the colours you have chosen.
Hope you have a happy Easter weekend x Jo

I think that Sympathy cards are the hardest to make, but the worst part is the insert and whatever you choose to write. The last one I did recently reduced me to tears, trying to write what I really felt in the right way. Your cards are beautiful. see you by the roundabout tomorrow. xx Maggie

Beautiful cards Sam! I have not yet made a sympathy card (will probably just buy one when needed) but yours are beautiful and very tastefully done. I may have to check out the TH class and do it on my own.
