WOYWW #6

Evening Peeps

I cannot believe that it is Wednesday already.  How quick (and busy) was this last week?

It does not seem 5 minutes since I was all excited about meeting Tim Holtz and the lovely ladies from Paperartsy and thinking that I really should be packing my case.  And here we are taking pictures of our desks again and sharing with the blogging world.  If you do not know what I am babbling on about just click HERE and you will be transported by magic to Julia Dunnit's blog where you can see other like minded Crafty people revealing their desks!

As you can see I have alot going on on my desk this week.  You can see the journal which I was hecticly making last week (is that a word "hecticly" - it is now!!).   I have not finished it quite as last night I printed quite a few pictures to put in there and now I just need to finish decorating it!  I asked Mr Holtz to sign the picture which I had put of him inside and instead of just signing it he actually took time to flick through the whole thing.  He asked me if I had made it just for the event (Yes) then he declared it was "Cool"!!  How chuffed was I that he declared my work as "Cool"!!!!!  I was very surprised as most of the Butterfly stamps are not Ranger!!! I will finish it off over the weekend and share it with you later. You can also see the lovely little toolkit which the guys from Ranger gave to us on the workshop (it is the clear pouch with white zip!).

If you go to my previous postings this week you will see the lovely pieces which I made at the Paperartsy event as well as a fair bit of rambling (gushing) about the whole event!  Loved the whole day and want to go to another one soon!

I have spent the last few evenings trying to tidy my room up.  However, as I picked up the box from QVC containing the TSV from last week I started to put the alcohol inks in the tin and one thing led to another and I ended up having a VERY inkey time yesterday evening.  I have not sat and played with my goodies like that for ages - in fact eons of time ago!!  Here are a few of the slides and glossy card samples I made last night.  You may notice that I used "my mate Tim's" book for inspiration and also the March edition of the Craft Stamper.  I bought those slides about 4/5 years ago and this was the first time (and certainly not the last time) that I had even attempted to use them!!!  Naughty I know but hey ho!!!

Well.  Need to finish the tidying (maybe not! LOL!)  I am hoping that I might just start my Birdhouse this week - planning on using alcohol ink on the roof - somehow!!  Any ideas on how to Get into the Groove - sounds like a song I used to know!

I WILL go around and look at more desks this week and thank you all for leaving comments for my postings.

Happy Crafting.  Be Safe!

Hettie

WOW - love the results of your inky playtime! Fab! I recommend you keep badgering your husband about keeping chickens . . . they are fun & useful (even if they DO trash your garden). Been keeping chooks for about 10 months now - steep learning curve, but I think my 2 have me trained now! LOL!
