CC101 - Hand Made Book and Tags!

Hello Peeps!

Happy Friday and have a great Weekend to y'all.  Two posts in one day doesn't happen too often on my blog, but I want to get this post on before the end of the month and I am off out tomorrow.

I don't know if you remember but last year I undertook a CC101 online course with Tim Holtz and made lots of tags using the techniques that Tim taught online.  As a result of this I was invited to join a Facebook group and recently one of the members Neil taught a live online course for us members to take part in making a book with 25 techniques to undertake on tags in, live through Hangouts on Google.  What a lorra fun we all had online with some of the Peeps getting up at stupid o'clock to join in.

So here is my book all finished....

Inside cover....

Back cover....
Inside back cover...
The first six techniques....
The second six techniques...
The third batch of techniques...
And the last six techniques...
And the final technique......
The book was made by hand sewing the signatures up with waxed cord before attaching it to the book cover.
I am entering this into the Facebook Challenge for this month which is "Anything Goes".

Thanks for calling by and have a great weekend.

Hugs

Hettie

Oh Hettie...this is a work of love...so many techniques...so much lovely inkyness!

I enlarged all the photos to try to guess a bit of how you did them...love the one with the white image...maybe it is bleach?

the crackle butterfly on the cover is wonderful too...but the whole thing is wonderful!

Home feels good. Our trip was fabulous but nothing beats sleeping in your own bed with Mr Scrappymo snoring beside me!

Jet lag not to bad so far for me...just a nasty cold I seemed to have picked up on the plane. Woke up at the wee hours of the am, blog hopped for a bit and then went back to sleep. Hopefully I last till 9pm or so tonight and then I will gradually get back up to my late owl hours...lol

The tags are a wonderful display of all the techniques you mastered and to store them in a book is a wonderful idea.
Gorgeous colours.

OOH Samantha! You have excelled yourself here. What an absolutely WONDERFUL and inspirational book that you lovingly hand-stitched and tagged-up. You clever thing. Just gazing through it is enough to make you want to grab some ink and GO FOR IT!

Thanks for sharing.

Holy crumbcakes and sausages, Sam, I turn my back for just a few days and all kinds of creative heaven has exploded round here!! And, am I going crackers (went there ages ago) or do you also have a new blog look? Have I already mentioned that?

I am sitting here with my head exploded right off my shoulders at what you've done with your stunning tag book, your snippets card, and your spectacular art journal!! If anyone is missing there Mojo, I know where it is! You must have three or four Mr. Mojos visiting!!

Have a wonderful weekend! Hugs, Darnell

Wow, This has come out absolutely stunning. I added a distress paint tag for fun as I had an extra pocket in my book and he had not yet invented that stuff when we did CC101.

Goodness, Sam you've been so busy. I've just been having a browse back through all the posts I've missed. Looooove the art journal with the mushrooms, that is a stunning page and your Lavinia washing line is gorgeous.
Sounds like your online class was lots of fun and there are some gorgeous techniques on your tags. I may be picking your brain for some new ideas!!!
Hope you've had a good weekend. It's turn cold and windy here today, hope the sunshine returns!!

Wow - stunning! I love the colours of the cover and inside covers... and what a brilliant way to collect all those techniques in one place. Your tags are simply lovely - the watercolour hedgerow flowers, and the lovely AO girl are my favourites, I think.
