A Little Bit of Knitting

Hello Friends

Looks like today is going to be another glorious sunny day!  Yippee!

Now I have something to show you today, which is a little outside my norm (but since when have I been in the "normal" category?).  I popped into my local Wool Shop a few weeks ago and saw a lovely scarf made in some variegated wool (there is silk in there too).  It was very simply made, no pattern, and this ball of wool was screaming "buy me".  So without much persuasion from the proprietor of the shop, I did.  And Brenda, here is the scarf I made.....

I actually made it on smaller needles than the one in the shop as I did not want it so long and clever me managed to put a twist in it, but this works to my advantage actually as if I put the twist at the back of my neck it makes the scarf not quite so wide at this point.

I wore it in to work and about four of the girls now want me to make them one!  If they get the wool I will.  Hopefully now I have a new scarf this will mean the end of the cold weather we are having!  I have to say it goes well with my lovely coat I bought last year too!

Talking about warm fuzzy moments, I would like to welcome and thank my newest followers for joining me here!

Right, better shake a leg and do some work now!

Have a great day!

Hettie

Gorgeous scarf, in such lovely colors too. I don't knit, so I'm awestruck! I can readily see your co-workers requesting to have one made up. Aren't you sweet to oblige them! TFS

Lovely. Is it knitted in the round? The wool is a pretty colour.
