WOYWW 122 - Hi Guys I am Back!!

Hi There Peeps

Sorry Julia, I missed last Wednesday, I was on a fabulous holiday in South Cornwall.  Julia is the lovely host of the WOYWW held each week on a Wednesday.  Usually we show you pictures of our desks and then link up to Julia's so we can look at other peoples desks. I hope you don't mind if I don't show you my desk today as it is pretty boring anyway.  I thought I would share some of the photos I took last week.  We stayed in a lovely little cottage in Sancreed and just took pot luck at where we went on any given day.  No itinerary, no agenda, no idea!!

This is where we were last Wednesday........

Levant Mine.  Look at that sky.  Wasn't it just fantastic?  We certainly chose the best week to be away.

The  "Intrepids" were myself, my Hubby and Dobby (first time we have ever taken a dog away on holiday).

For those of you who like to see flowers.......

I have never seen white Hydrangea before and am now going to look for one.  This was at Trevarno.  A beautiful day to spend our Wedding Anniversary.  The weather was beautiful on that day too.

Fergus enjoying a Cornish Pasty at St Michael's Mount....

.... A Veggie one of course!

And here is something I spotted at Cape Cornwall......

I can hear you all go "Awwww" now!!

Lizard Point (most Southerly place in UK).  I stood for ages trying to get a good spray shot.  I think it was worth the wait!

Mullion Cove - the best Rum 'n' Raisin ice cream as recommended by Hels Sheridan and Me!

Well, I hope you like seeing some of my piccies from Cornwall. (I actually took 397 and I haven't even had chance to look at Hubby's camera yet!!)  It just goes to show that you don't need to go to some foreign country to enjoy yourself, if the weather is good then Great Britain is fantastic!!

Off to stop by some desks before I have a dancing lesson this afternoon, then back to stop at some more desks before I go dancing again this evening!!  I should be fit by the time I go back to work shouldn't I?  Don't forget to have a womble over to Julia's page to see other desks.

See ya!

Hettie

I am green with envy. You have just been to my most favourite place in the world. I love the Lizard peninsula, and the rum and raisin ice cream is definitely to die for at Mullion. It was also a fantastic place to take our two dogs to cool down and swim in the harbour, and so peaceful. I am now suffering a serious sea deprivation depression.

You're back - woohoo! You definitely struck lucky with the weather. What a fantastic week you had. I love that part of Cornwall, Mullion is fab and Kynance Cove has to be in my all time top 10 beaches! You should take out copyright on that heart stone pic and turn it into cards/posters. It would sell like hot cakes! I love it. Nice pic of the family too, Dobby looks fun :)
Hugs, LLJ xx

You sure know how to pick the week to go on holiday, Sam. How fantastic to be in Cornwall in that stunning weather, not that I'm envious or anything!!!!
Thanks for sharing your lovely photos, brings back happy memories, especially the cream tea on St Michael's Mount.
Thanks for the Hydrangea. I have two white ones, one like this and another that has huge white flowers right above the plant that were white in the Summer and are now the deepest pink. I'll try and get a cutting to go from them for you if you like.
Happy Anniversary!!
Hugs Lisax

Cor, the perfect week for the weather... have been down at the Lizard when it was storming and that is SO not nice... oh and then there was the time that me and Grim went off to investigate a cave.. and the tide crept in... and Grim went hopping off across the rocks while I was tipping about in flipflops... the ice cream was very muchly needed lol Good to see Fergus enjoying himself... with his grass and straw pastie :O))

I was in Cornwall in July and also enjoyed a pasty like Fergus. Yummy and cream teas too.

Glad you had a great week in a lovely part of the country.

Looks like a fantastic holiday with great weather. We've been in Cornwall too a few years ago and I think it's a gorgeous place. Especially for the ones who like the sea and love to walk. Great pictures and thanks for visiting my place.

Lucky you! we were down that way for a long weekend the week before. I hate to say it, but, I've had my 'draws' for a very very very long time! Well over twenty years, longer probably!! All ways wanted to 'do' something with them, painted them with this 'pine paint' and that was it! painted them gold a few weeks ago and now, at last I've started doing something with them. Love the little cow, we have long horns on the Forest. Happy WOYWW

Beautiful Cornwall, just fantastic, love the place! Can I be more exuberant? Almost an entire half of my mams family moved from Cornwall to Durham between 1870 and 1872, so it's one of my ancestral homes! And no, the UK can't be beat in good weather. Looks like you had a brilliant time.
