Grungy Monday - Week Two - A Little Madness!!

Hello Peeps.

What a FAB Grungy Monday project Linda at 3Ls has lined up for us this week.  One I have thoroughly enjoyed working on!

First we went on a mystery tour HERE.  Then we got to "play" at using the technique that Tim Holtz had demonstrated on his lickle video!

Woo Hoo!!!

For some reason I kept singing the old Madness song "Our House - In the Middle of Our Street" and thought about using my lickle street On the Edge die to make the stamp with funky foam!  When I first bought this die it reminded me of the first lickle terraced house which my DH and I bought just before we married - hence 47!

The background paper is part of a very old solicitors diary which I found in our Archives propping a door open, and it actually has the name of the then solicitors who were at the firm I work at, including the father of my Boss!!  You have to look real hard to spot it tho' but I know so nyer nyer nyer nyer nyer!!!

I made my tag using my tag die from Tim Holtz and covered it with the diary paper (using the matte medium to adhere them together of course).  I made my stamp using the On the Edge die and foam and a lickle grungeyboard house too!). I used lots of different distress inks and finished it off with the Rock Candy distress stickles to give the sky a little schparkle!

The 47 was made by making two more stamps using Sizzix dies and more funky foam which I then used to stamp some shrink plastic (really lurving this stuff!) which I then heated and hey presto! it shrunk would you believe!!!  I then used some lush enamel from Ranger to back the 47 to make it look white.  Had to use some tissue tape - Tim's fault since I was at the Paperartsy event.

Some cellophane off a Quality Street chocolate to back the windows, gold deco balls and glossy accents to fill the windows, ribbon, fluffy fibres, keys and beads and hey presto one little tag which I loved making.

Thanks for looking.  Let me know you have been visiting by leaving a message please.

TTFN and Happy Crafting.

Hettie

I love that song, Hettie! I remember the cute video and how much I wanted to hang out with those guys in their fun house! This tag is the PERFECT tribute to that song and that lighthearted feeling, and you absolutely ROCKED the resist technique! Everything about this makes my heart happy, and I'm so glad you're part of Grungy Monday!
