From Tags to Cards and Breakfast on Tuesday...

Hello there

Another chilly one in the UK today with snow in some parts.  We have had a few flurries but nothing much to report.

I have been a bit remiss about joining in with Elizabeth for Tea on Tuesday this year, for no other reason than it has been a little tricky since MIL came out of hospital.  I seem to have developed a routine whereby I visit on a Monday and/or Tuesday evening which makes it tricky for me to post and comment until later in the week.  However, I took the photos this morning and have this evening free so I can join.

So here it the card I wanted to share with you...

I made the tag for the Funkie Junkie 12 Tags of Christmas in 2013 I think.  But now I have taken them all down and put them in a basket to use on cards.  No need to keep them for reference as I have put them on my blog so I just as well use them and let someone else enjoy them (or bin them!).  When I was looking at mounting it on a card I decided it did not need anything fussy behind it so opted for some leftovers from a layout I did last year of my niece and nephew.

Now for my tea... or indeed breakfast!  I stayed at Debs' house on Friday night and she offered me some home made Granola for breakfast.  Now I have tried Granola in the past but either end up with aching jaws, an overload of sugar or I have to spit out the coconut.  I had none of these problems with Debs (she had used honey...mmmmmmm.) so I set about looking for a recipe and making my own. So I made some last night, having slightly adapted the recipe (only made half up in case I did not like it) and both Hubby and I LOVE it.  No coconut either!!  We even had some last night after tea! Here is the link if you are interested!

Thanks for calling by.  Nice to chat and share my breakfast with you.  Off to join Elizabeth (though not sure she is up to eating right now - poor thing)and also the Snippets Playground...Must use Snippets.

Have a great Tuesday and keep warm.

Hugs

Hettie

WOW - way to go with adding the fab tag to a card Sam.

You can keep your granola . . . I like my fry ups.

Stay warm and cosy mate.

Your tag is stunning. What a great way to recycle it by giving it new life. And a beautiful new life it got. Really impressive.

I am another who is not fond of granola. But I am glad you found (and shared) a recipe that changed your mind.

We are SO glad you were able to join us for T this week. So glad you can spend time with your MIL, though. Thanks for finding the time to join us for T this Tuesday.

I love that granola is so easy to adapt. You can put in what you like and leave out what you don't like.

I'm noticing those lovely flower mugs. It looks like a set, and I'm really liking how they look :)

Using the tags to make cards is a great idea. Homemade Granola is another great idea. Thanks for both.

Your tag mounted onto the card is gorgeous-so many bits and details! I'll check out the granola-I too find them mostly too sweet and hard. Thanks for sharing and a happy T day!

I really like how you recycled your lovely tag into a beautiful card! Not a big fan of granola either but it is nice that you found an adjustable recipe that you like.

Ah!! Last of the Christmas stuff packed away. ;)
Homemade granola sounds hard on my jaw, too, but it looks good. Happy very late T-Day! :)

Gorgeous tag that will certainly be treasured by whoever gets this wonderful card! Thanks for the recipe--I've always wanted to make granola but didn't have a good recipe.

I'm afraid there isn't much I don't like so most granola I will eat even with coconut. lol I'm glad you and hubby found a recipe that you both love!!
