Scrapbook Tuesday ...Tea on Tuesday...T stands for BirThday Boy!

Hello There Tuesday!!

Yep!  Tuesday again and a warm sunny day here in Wales - now don't feint!

Today I am linking my post up with Elizabeth and her Buddy Bleubeard at Tea on Tuesday.  So first up my errr "tea" which came in a brown bottle and had lots of fruit and err.....cider in!  It is Swedish and absolutely gorgeous.  It did not seem too alcoholic...hic!

Behind the glass and bottle is a pot which I brought in from the porch the other day.  Can you guess what is in it?  Bettchya you can't...
An Amarylis in June!  It used to come up at Christmas and then for the last two years it hasn't come up at all.  Whilst discussing it with my Dad, who knows all about horticultural stuff, he said that it is probably past it, maybe too cold in the porch and that I should bin it.  Well, typical me, I hadn't "got round" to it and blow me when it starting firing leaves and then I could see a stem coming up!  Glad I didn't listen that time!

Rightio!  On to my Scrapbook offering...

A double layout which took me ALL flippin' day on Saturday as there was a fair bit of procraftinating going on between myself and my Buddy Mandy!  I am mighty pleased with it though I have to say.

The event was Mr Hettie's 50th Birthday Surprise Outing.  This railway is only about 20 miles away from home, yet we had never been up there before.  I was trying to rack my brain as to where to go as I didn't want to spend the day in the car and it was a great idea.  I just gave Mr the sat nav code and off we went.

I used a plethora of dies and goodies on this layout, including MME - paper, Bazzill - Cardstock, Sizzix - plane, enjoy, stars, Spellbinder - sign, circles, Tim Holtz - Rosettes, cogs (NBUS), stickles, DIs, Cricut - lettering, Stampin Up - bunting, Paperartsy - stamping on the tag, There are also some Snippets.

A lickle bit of a close up.
These tickets Hubby brought home from a Flea Market in town.  There weren't many but I love 'em.

Right then.  That is today's waffle finished.  I am also linking this up with the Snippets Playground and Simon Says Stamp as I see their theme is "anything goes"!  Wahoo!

Thanks for calling by.  Thanks also to my latest Followers Kathy and Donna.  Someone else followed me recently but I do not know who you are as I cannot find your name/picture.  Thank you all.

Hettie

PS Pelase excuse the not so brilliant pics, I took them on a bright sunny Sunday with my tablet - not as good as my Canon!

Pretty early in the morning here for me to try that drink. Better stick to my water, LOL! I like trains so would have had fun on your adventure. You did a great layout.

I was quite impressed with your "Green Thumb" skills. Way to go.

What an impressive scrapbook layout. I watched in awe as each of those dies added something more to the pages. I think I need one of those machines. Your layering and matting was spectacular, and the way you cut and positioned each of the photos was stunning. Very impressive pages.

Thanks for sharing your art, your lovely amaryllis, and your drink, drank, drunk with us this week for T.

Your cider looks really tasty...
we enjoyed a wonderful Pear Cider while visiting the UK last year and cannot find anything like here in the states...everything seems so sweet compared to that.
Hope your hubby is still celebrating...
great pages you created...
we have a thing for trains too...in fact we had THE best scone and tea at a little train spot on Lake Windermere and got to ride in a vintage train to catch a boat...
can you tell I am enjoying thinking back to last June here!
And way to go on that lovely flower...keep trusting your instincts!
Happy T Day Hettie

Your Amaryllis is just beautiful! I haven't had one for years, but mine have always been solid rather than awesome striped!

I think I'd like to try that drink now that it is afternoon and I have quit for the day on my kitchen project.

Beautiful scrap layout--the train day surprise looked like fun!

Hello
Sorry I haven't popped over for sometime but I have been absent.
My concern is this, are you still able to read after you have been partaking of that "tea"!!!!!
Imagine how you nearly missed out on its beauty if you had actually binned it - that would have been terrible. It is absolutely glorious
Great layout.

What a wonderful layout and a witty write-up, too! I always admire people who can create great art AND write well and your post had me laughing! Loved your sense of humor that went along with this amazing layout. The color palette turned out so nicely and I love all the different elements you combined. The pictures are especially interesting and I like the detailed shots you included instead of just "traditional" photos. I also loved how your Hubby brought you home some fabulous vintage tickets! Yay for supportive Hubbies with a knack for picking up cool ephemera! You did a great job on this all the way around and I'm so glad you shared your talents with us here at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog!

Super layouts Sam - that looks to have been a wonderful day. My guess is that some of those die cuts came from the infamous scrap of card?

Hope you're recovering from yesterday!

Playing catch up here, sorry I'm a bit late calling by

Hi Hettie, thanks for checking in. I hate it when I have to miss a week of T Day, but it was impossible to make it this week. I'll have to catch up with everyone next week. :)

I like how your cider, your flower, and your scrapbook spread all match, with that pretty, deep red color. Looks like you had a nice day out for your husband's birthday.

Have a good weekend!
