Variations on a Theme - New Stamp!

Hello Friends!

Wow! This weekend is passing so quickly for me, but I have/am been a busy bunny!!  You have to keep moving with the weather being so cold, or else have a large budget to keep the heating on!!

I was fortunate enough to win the Paperartsy stamp from my friend Miss Di at the Playground recently so I thought I would show you a couple of cards which I made to send to two of my Special friends!!

I know they have both been received now so I can show them to you.

The card bases were stamped with various Tim Holtz background stamps in several Distress Inks (don't ask me which I cannot remember) then a layer of cardstock (from the Snippets box) which had been distressed and inked were laid on top.  I then took some cardstock on to which I stamped the stamp using Archival ink and then once dried, I used some of the same colours of the base card stamping and inked the image, distressed and inked the edges and laid on top of the previous piece, at a wonk.

Some trimmings from the Snippets box and my cards were finished.  The mustard velvet ribbon on the first card was from my friend's Snippets box so I hope that is allowed Miss.

Right, I am just putting my coat and hat on and running over to the Playground, as I know my buddy Sandra is waiting for me to go on the seesaw with her!

Tally ho and enjoy the rest of the weekend!

P.S.  I have just been over the Playground and Miss is talking about catching some peeps drinking wine behind the bike shed. I can assure you that I am not one of them, having given up alcohol and Baileys!!!! for Lent!!

Absolutely gorgeous cards, one is still smiling at me from my desk here :)) Both so beautifully made. I adore the pleated ribbon - such a lovely finishing touch.

If you aren't in Mrs A's 'gang' then I believe that you weren't behind the bike shed glugging wine - she's such a BAD influence!!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend hun.

Hugs, Di xx

Boy oh boy...Lent is going to be boring!

I'll budge over and share my swing...I think they ought to ditch those sill gliders...those are for babies...and we are big girls...well some more than others...teehee

Great cards, i'm glad you won the stamps...they are so you!

These are great, love the tinting on the images, and cool crackle stamping in the backgrounds. Text-y heart is always going to beat ribbon for me, so number one wins!! Have a great week, Samantha!

Hi Hettie, great cards, bet your friends loved them.

I peeked behind the bike sheds but decided to stay on the swings lol!! Mind you, if this cold keeps up will need the gulf of warming alcohol :-)

Lovely cards and such a great use of that stamp too. Using others snippets now that is a thought maybe we ought to have a swap shop lol. No alcohol for me either, been teetotal for a few years now although the the thought of baileys on ice does make the mouth water lol. Hugs, Amanda x
