WOYWW 138 - Happy Burns Night

Hello Peeps

Yeay it is Wednesday!! So for anyone who is celebrating.........

Happy WOYWW Day!
Happy Hump Day!
Happy Rudolph Day!
Happy Burns' Night

Happy WOYWW Day
Click HERE to be transported by Haggis Magic over to the lovely Julia's Blog to join in the biggest Blog Hop that happens EVERY Wednesday.  So without further ado - here is my desk...
What you can see on my desk is my December album.  Yes I know it is January.  But unfortunately I was up to my naughty bits during December and though I made a good start on the album, it had to be put to one side to be finished during January.  To be fair it is not far from finishing and hopefully by next Wednesday I will able to show you the finished article.

Here is a basket full of fabrics which I stood and cut on the weekend ready to start putting my quilt together.  Hubby will be working nights shortly so I will be able to stay up until the wee hours putting it together to my heart's content.

Happy Hump Day
Tomorrow is Thursday......

Then it is Friday..........

Yeay - then it is the weekend!!!!

Happy Rudolph Day
My Blogging Buddy Sandra calls the 25th of the month "Rudolph Day" and for every 25th of the month she makes a Christmas card or two.  Somehow I started to join her!!   So here are my Rudolph Day cards......
And........
And as they are made using my Snippets, so I am also entering them into Di's Snippets Challenge.  I know I said I was going to make 10 cards for Christmas each month and I only now have four, but I still have until next Tuesday to make the other six and at least I have four more cards than I had this time last year!!  That can only be good ey?!

Happy Burns' Night

For my Scottish Friends that may read my blog (if you haven't fallen asleep by now) Happy Burns' Night to you.  I am not even going to attempt to recite (or type) any of Burns' work to you but I will show you an extremely rare photograph of my very old and VERY shy Wild Haggis!  I think this is the only photo I have of my pet Haggis.  He came from the Western part of Scotland some 20 25 30  35  a long time ago!
And for those of you who know my lovely Fergus, here is a photo of him enjoying Cornwall last September!  He will be brushing his fur and his quiff tonight to go dancing, where we will be having a lickle bit of a "do" in honour of Rabbie Burns.  I shall be doing a lickle solo number - probably Flora McDonald's Fancy!!

Right, I think I have all occasions and celebrations covered for tonight, and whatever you are celebrating, enjoy it!  Don't forget to leave me a comment and "white screen syndrome" allowing I will be along to view your blogs later.  I apologise to all you lovely peeps who I have visited but have been unable to leave comments because of the white screen syndrome.  I have seen a few other peeps saying they have the same problem and it has been suggested they try using Google Chrome which is what I am now trying.  Fingers crossed ey!!

Don't forget to pop on over to Julia's too!

Hettie, Fergus and Haggis!!

Lolol!! Really enjoyed your post :) With every new headline, I heard the ITN big bongs in my head! Haggis is rather gorgeous, but I'm partial to Fergus too, having once been likened to a Highland cow when I had Big Hair - auburn permed tumbling locks. The resemblance was uncanny!
Hugs, LLJ #45 xx
PS Oh ana another thing. The three French Hens were very reminiscent of me and two mates when we sang in the choral society.....

WooHoo! I think you got them covered! I bought a Wild Haggis when I was in Scotland the last time. The customs people confiscated a bag of baked goods on reentry into the USA and he happened to be in that bag and I didn't know it. Customs people are not nice! Thanks for sharing and have a great week! Vickie #27

Hi Sam . . . Happy EVERYTHING Day to you too! Thanks for the Rudolph Day plug! Glad you're joining in. You'll be well sorted for this December if you manage your aim of 10 cards per month! I'm very impressed.

Really like both RD cards, but my fave (naturally) is the chicken one. Look at them singing their little hearts out!

PS: Your desk is a disgrace . . . LOL! xxx

Look forward to seeing the journal finished next week. Well done on preparing all the bits of material for the quilt. And I love the Christmas cards. I have a Christmas challenge blog and the theme this week is 'have a heart' so your second card would be just right - I'd love you to link it there (Hazel, WOYWW #28) x

I knew it, Christmas preparation? You start the year with a tidy desk and then you go over to the organised gang. I shall have to find a new disorganised friend!

Your post is such fun!! Love your cards and the photo's are cute! I think I must adopt Rudolph day, I never make my Christmas cards in time, that will help - thanks for the idea! I'm looking forward to seeing the album. Have a Happy and creative week xx

Your post really made me laugh today, but not half as much as the comment on my blog! If my little calf length socks are *costing* me $1000, then your long Highland style ones will set you back at least $2000!! Can you afford that, lol!! Lovely desk and have fun with teh quilt too when the time comes. The unfinished card on my desk is supposed to be a Rudolph one too, let's hope I get it finished.

Hugs
Brenda

Hi Sam, Thank you for visiting my blog, of course you can borrow the idea of the colouring book tip book, i have had lots of comments saying what a good idea it is, i have heard proper artists do something similar with their water colour combo's i have found it really helpful and if it helps someone else too then i am very happy, Have a good week Lou x
