Good Evening Peeps
I hope you have all had a lovely Weekend or, if not a weekend of Crafting then at least, with some time Crafting.
I have had my Buddy Mandy here in my Craft Room today, making her Configuration Box which I bought for her Birthday last year, and which she has been making it into a Memory Box of her Family's trip to the USA in August. I really should have put a swear box in my room for the day!! 'Nuff said I think but I really do think the Craftling Creatures have paid us a visit!!
The purpose of today's post is to show you a layout I have done and which I am only showing you if you promise that you will NOT laugh!! Here goes.....
YES. It is me! I am about 7 on this photo. In my days of being a Ballroom Dancer. Before Strictly Come Dancing was even thought of as a TV show! The event was a Ballroom Competition and I can remember we went to someone's house which was quite a drive away from home, but closer to the venue in order to get ready before the event. One of my favourite tricks was to kneel on the floor in my dress and tweet, pretending I was on my Nest!! I know, I know. Probably funny at the time!!
I have taken the basic design from my Blogging Buddy Karen's blog which I saw recently HERE. I liked the design so thought I would make it.
I hereby promise that except for the background paper and the yellow spotty paper, all the other papers used including the mount, flourishes, die cuts, and journalling piece, were all out of my Snippets book. So I am hoping the Lovely Di will allow me to play in the Playground this week over on the Snippets Challenge. Pleeeeeeeeeease Aunty Di!! I will make some more cards later too!!
So there you are. Your Sunday Evening Giggle from me!!
I haven't done the journalling yet, but will do before I put it away! I am waiting to ask my Mum where and when it was!
Please feel free to leave me a comment and don't forget to pop over to Di's blog to see some of the other peeps who have joined in the Challenge!
Thanks for looking.
Thanks for looking.

Aw Sam - this is absolutely great - and layouts or absolutely anything using snippets are always most welcome in the playground. What a terrific photo - and all the detail in your LO is terrific - loving the flowers! Now, tell me - however did you manage to go to the loo whilst wearing so much netting and tulle? Grins here, Di xx
Loving your LO Sam and what a fabulous way to use some snippets. Carol x
Sam this is gorgeous, I love your take on the LO sketch :) I especially love all the different elements that you have added, its really beautiful :)
Brilliant scrapbook page . . . still sniggering at your tweeting though! Sorry. Can't help it. The more you tell me to stop, the more I will laugh! (I am a shocker at funerals and other very solemn occasions.)xxx
Wow this is brillian! Love all the different elements.
Blessings Bernie
What a fab layout, and a lovely picture! I'm sitting here with a huge smile at your delightful 'tweeting' story!
love Mags B x
Brilliant post, Sam - I'm still chuckling at the bird on the nest thin Before Strictly there was Come Dancing with presented by Terry Wogan and Judith Chalmers if I remember rightly. I watched with my mum and dad, both keen dancers. Back then women always wore those puffball dresses, unless they were doing Latin-American - and I do remember the furore when the rules were changed to allow them to wear something a little less like a meringue! Happy days :)) Elizabeth x
