Tea Box - Remember This?

Good Evening Folks!

Don't know about you but it sure has been a foggy day in my neck of the woods today!

I was making a cup of herbal tea earlier on today and as I took the tea bag out of the box (these are the only t-bags I use as I prefer loose tea for "normal" tea), I suddenly thought to myself "Have I actually posted the finished box on my blog?"  Well, I had a look through my postings and realise the answer is a big fat NO!  I showed it originally on a WOYWW posting HERE - June 2011!  Yikes!!  I actually finished it in July but have never gotten round to posting it so here it is.....

There you have it.  The box was originally bought in Tesco, Prague (yep! You read that correct!) and all the pieces of paper are leftover bits from my Configurations course with Paperartsy and the wonderful Tim Holtz.  Even as long ago as then I used my snippets.  I have adhered the pieces using Claudine Hellmuth Matt Multi Medium and then I waxed the whole box using my Melting Pot. I then added metallic rubbing wax over the top.  I made "feet" using the Tim Holtz Hitch Fasteners and added a large bauble with chain tassle, again Tim Holtz and a large bee (Claire's Accessories me finks).  Also some Tim Holtz facets, corners and the grungeblocks were left over from the workshop!  I would hate to waste anything!

Hope you like and maybe you will be inspired to alter something which you will enjoy using very soon!

great box, something really special to keep your teas in. I hate throwing things away too, there are so many memories even in small bits of paper.

I really like your box, Sam. Isn't tea the greatest drink in the world? My favorite. I love these tea boxes but as you said...i prefer loose. I love what you did on the front. So much to look at. So glad you shared again.
