Hello There!
Happy Wednesday to y'all! Today is WOYWW which I am sure you are all aware of already. Click HERE if you really need to read the whys and wherefores!
Now Sandra and all those with a nervous disposition please turn away now. I will let you know when you can look again!
My desk looking pretty messy after a fun hour playing with my gelli plate last night. I haven't really got to grips with it yet, but that could be 'cos I don't seem to be able to have "fun" time lately. I am not saying that my crafting isn't fun right now, but I seem to be always making for a purpose and not just for the hell of it! I have cleared and cleaned the gelli plate and all the paints (except the yellow one hiding on the right) but these are the stencils and roller on their way downstairs. Just to the left of the pot you can see a ghost printing which I actually quite like. I can see another pant hiding on the far left too! Oops!
You can look back now. I have had two more ATCs recently...
A lovely purpley gothic one from Ike.
And another purple one (does anyone guess I like purple?) from Darnell. She spells sctuff the way I do too! Tee Hee!
Now what have I done with all the ATCs I hear you ask. Well, I sat down on Saturday afternoon and made myself a new ATC book in the style of the previous two years' so that they are all tucked in safely...
K&Co papers, Tim Holtz on the edge dies, along with my lovely new Moroccan die which a special friend sent me for my birthday.
I even managed to find a Snippet of ribbon to tie the book closed. I shall be taking this down to the Snippets Playground too! And here are some shots of the inside. The ATC on the left is from my PIF friend and the others are from lovely peeps.
I need to finish this off with some doodling and stamping, and maybe some tags (though I am not sure as it is mighty thick now) but my priority was to put them somewhere safe so they didn't wander.
Due to a cock up error I managed to make too many pages so if anyone still has some spare ATCs they wanna swap, I would love a couple more? I cannot count these days.
Right. That is me done. I do hope I haven't given anyone the heebeegeebies by the mess on my desk. Thank goodness I didn't show you the floor too!
Click HERE to whizz over to the lovely Mistress of the Desk's desk and join in the madness that is WOYWW. If you leave a message I shall call by either later today or tomorrow after I finish work.
Hettie

I gasped at your untidy desk in the same way I am sure you'd gasp at my neat-freak one!
FABBY ATCs and super duper ickle holder.

I just had another peek at your desk (I am a glutton for punishment) and actually . . .there's a clear patch or two . . . so that's pretty good for you!

Your ATC. Album is gorgeous, like all the others I've seen of yours. So pretty and a very fine container for all those little treasures! You have such a knack for putting colours and patterns together!
Hope the new chooks are settling in ok :-)
Hugs, llj21 xx
Hi Hettie,
Love your ATC booklet, wish I had an extra to send you. I have all mine stored in a binder with trading card pockets, so I can see more than one and have all the years together.
I like seeing a busy desk and what you've been up to.
Have a great week

Mess, what mess? Nothing like a busy desk I say!!! Love your fabulous little book! Chrisx 47
Love the atc album, I should have known you'd make something perfect for them. Helen 4
I like the new look of your blog. Its official! You own more paint brushes than me! I did a zoom in on your desk to see what you were going on about. I spy one gelli pull. Do show some more. Not sure I want to get one of them or not.
hi sam know what you mean about crafting stuff you have to rather than for the fun of it .... I am the same... oh for an extra 2 days in the week. Love the ATC holder, I have mine on a metal frame thingy I should post it next week..
BTW I had a strange e mail from you this evening (may not have actually been from you) about some voice mail messages you sent me but as you don't have my mob number I'm guessing its spam or something I think it went to the BBC news website... strange????

Love your desk Sam, I'm on my way round with my gelli plate for some messy play, lol. I never get any fun playtime these days and I miss it. My gelli plate has been out twice since I got it at xmas and I haven't got to grips with it yet.
Love your atc book.
Hugs Lisax
I love your ATC folder, what a great way to store them. It's enough to make you want to make more ATCs.
Have a great week and happy crafting, Angela x #41
Hi Hettie Happy WOYWW - I am very inspired by your ATC album I might change my idea to frame them and make an album, thank you, great desk space. Cheers and have a great week RobynO#28
Hi huni! What a beautiful ATC protector! Love your mini books - I'm not good at those, measuring etc! Lovely ATC's from the girlies too.
A Gelli Plate is on my crafting wish list but am nervous of it because I don't like to get covered in paint - ink I'm fine with lol! Hope you get some time 'just to play' - I always find that is where Mr Mojo and Mr Noninspiration are hiding Karen xx
What a lovely book and great use of gelli prints. Karen #39
Your book is wonderful! I think it is a great idea to keep your ATC's protected and organized so well.
Your desk looks like mine! Lol
Oh boy, how I hear you on the creating for fun/creating for a purpose problem! But the ATC booklet you've created is a delight. I love the layered die-cuts on the front, and the folded construction is so clever to hold all those fabulous ATCs.
Alison xx
Hi Sam! Wow, I do so love your ATC folder/book :) Very pretty and such a nice die you used :)
Still laughing at your Friday Funny :)
Hugs, Di xx

great looking desk Hettie and I love all the projects you are showing off. I like KC&Co papers but I can hardly find them around here anymore....grrr....Thanks for stopping by my desk and leaving an awesome comment. Vickie #82
Love the manga type ATC, and I wish I had a gelli plate, but I have banned myself from any more obsessions
That desk is not messy, you want to see mess then pop back on Wednesday. Love you ATC Book, I still have mine in a pouch waiting for me to find some extra time to play. I have ha a few days off and managed to create heaps, hence all my posts with still more to come
Hugs Eliza
Belated WOYWW Greetings
I'm a bit late to the party but I'll swap ATCs with you if you still need someone to swap with.
I don't know why those with nervous dispositions would be looking at WOYWW in the first place. We love us some messy desks! I've had a bit of play with a friend's Gelli Plate before and they are fun.
I hear you about the sometimes crafting is with a purpose and then it isn't as fun. It is why I refuse to make cards on demand for people who ask.
Oh my wow! What a gorgeously cool album for your ATCs! Well worth hunting for it I might add. Thanks for stopping by my blog. Hugs!
