Moments - Scrapbook Layout

Hello Bloggers

I don't like to tempt fate, but when I left the office tonight the sky actually wasn't leaking and nowsome 4 or so hours later it still hasn't leaked!  Woo Hoo.  All we need is a few more hours (say 100 or more) and we may be able to cut the grass!!  Nah!  No chance ey.

Never mind.  How about I show you a layout tonight then?  You want to see?  Okay then.  Here it is...

Mr Hettie and Dobby enjoying a moment in the garden when we had some sun about two years ago.  When we come home from work we like to sit together on the patio (well at least in the summer) with a cup of coffee (and maybe a biscuit or two) and talk about our day and what we plan to do for the evening, however, this summer - no chance!  We have had to resort to sitting at the dining room table instead.

Love this flower.  It is actually made using the Tim Holtz Tattered Florals die!  And a button in the middle of course.
The Moments is also another Tim Holtz die cut out of a delivery box and painted with stencil paint with some copper wax smooshed on the top.
Lots of punchings on the there.  If you look carefully you can just about see our bee hive in the background.
Love the shape on this one.  You can see some tearing of the corner too.  It was a square torn in half diagonally and tucked under the frame.   And a fair bit of doodling around the edges.

Hope you like it and please let me know what you think by signing in the Visitors Book, so I can pop over to see you later!

When in Rome

Hello Peeps

I was going through some photos the other day and realised I had not shown you guys these two layouts!  Not sure why or how I missed them so here they are......

Two layouts for which I used photographs of Hubby and I when we were in Rome.  The one of Hubby is named "I Simon" as in "I Claudius"!!  You can see the Forum in the background, as that is where we were!
The title was cut on my Silhouette cutter.

And a little close up of some of the details.  Those stars were actually on the paper strip that you get on the edge of the papers!  Waste not want not!

And here is yours truly at the Coliseum.  I could not get over how big that building was.  I know you see pictures of it (The Italian Job!) but you cannot get an idea of just how big it is.

Another title cut on my Silhouette!  Vidi (I came), Veni (I saw), Visa (I spent)!! You can always find room for string on a layout!

Some of the details and more string!

These papers are not my usual type but pretty nonetheless.  Thanks to Penny and Ally for the layouts.  These were started on the Retreat in February but not quite finished until recently!

Thanks for looking and please leave me a comment so I know you have been.

Have a great (if wet) weekend!

It's All Mine! - Scrapbook Layout

Hello Peeps

Sorry I have not been around much this last week, but I have been in London for a few days having a fabulous time with my lovely cousin Tracey.  I feel absolutely spoilt and did not want the two days to end but end it had to and now things are a little more back to normal (whatever that is!).

I missed out on the WOYWW yesterday as I was shattered from Tuesday, having walked most of London and then arriving back home very late and having to go to work on Wednesday.  I will share more of London with you hopefully tomorrow.  But for now I wanted to share with you a layout which I have completed recently.

This is Hubby on his birthday two years ago.  The cake is one I made for him and in that box on the table is a canvas which I made for him to go in his play shed!  Perhaps I should take some pictures of it and show you as it was a fun piece to make!

Not quite sure of the papers but the vine was made using a vinyl type fabric and a Sizzix die. The circle was cut out using templates.  Punches were used on the edges.

This layout was not made using snippets but I did create quite a few so expect to see some cards being made soon to join the Snippets Playground!

Please leave a comment so I know you have been.

Woo Hoo - Friday tomorrow and I guess the weekend weather is not set to improve!  Typical as I am supposed to be dancing in the grounds of Christ College, Brecon on Saturday.  Guess it will be in the scout hut!!

Scrappy Tuesday on a Thursday

Hello there Lovely Crafting Peeps

Well, if you came by my blog on Tuesday expecting to see my Scrappy Tuesday post here it is now on a Thursday.  Hope you don't mind, but I wanted to post my Bees in My Garden canvas.

Here is this week's layout.  Yet another of one of the layouts I completed at the Penally Retreat back in March.  We were playing at doodling.  The photo was taken at the Churchyard at the Church where Hubby and I were married, and where Hubby's Daddy is buried.  I just love the way the sun is peeking through the snow on the branch.

Some punched out flowers with a little bit of stickles in the centres, some stamping on the ribbon and some doodling with the Inkessentials white pen.
Afraid I don't know the make of the patterned papers, but it was rather lovely with a pearlised reverse side.

My Buddy Mandy - Scrapbook Layout

Good Evening Peeps

Well I see the wet weather is still with us and likely to be with us most of this Bank Holiday weekend.   I do so hope this does not give some of you any bad news that you did not already know!  My plans of doing more work in my garden have now been scotched, again, so we  (I) have had to rethink our plans.  Saturday morning off for a little shopping trip for undies to wear under my dress for the Ball on Saturday evening, then on Sunday we are going to start decorating our spare room.  Then Monday we are both having the day for ourselves.  Hubby will be playing in his Shed and Me, I will be playing in my Craft Room.  There is always a silver lining in a grey soggy cloud isn't there!!  Hee Hee!

Well I thought I would show you a layout which I completed at Penally's Retreat recently.  The photo is of my Buddy Mandy which was taken in my Craft Room at our first 24hr crop.  It was our first scrapbooking day in my new Craft Room!

Lots of lovely (pink) flowers and butterflies adorn the page all of them being punched out of various punches including Martha Stewart.  The string of hearts going across the middle is a Sizzix die as well as the scalloped circle.  The stamping on the scalloped circle was a stamp which I borrowed so I have no idea what make that was.
A mixture of diamantes and liquid pearls in the flowers and butterflies.  Mandy is a lover of pink which is why I chose this photo for this layout when I saw it.  I hope she doesn't mind me sharing this with you.

Please leave me a comment so I know you have been .

Have a great weekend.

Scrappy Tuesday - Team Elliott

Hello Peeps

Don't know what sort of weather you are having in your part of the world but boy it is wierd here.  One minute it is tipping down with rain, next it is sunny, next it is blowing a gale and the next it looks like sleet coming down!!  Four seasons weather my father-in-law used to call it - Bless Him!

Well today is Tuesday and that means it is time for Scrappy Tuesday, even though I have had a bit of a Scrappy Monday this week too.  Thanks to you all for your lovely comments on yesterday's post.  It was lovely to hear from so many of you.  I love getting comments!  They mean alot to me!

Anyways.  Here is tonight's scrapbook layout.  Another one which I completed on the retreat I was on last month with the lovely ladies of Pennally.  Yes!  That is ME driving our Jeep.  As you can see we had more than a little snow on the ground and Hubby decided it was high time I learnt to drive the Jeep up and down our country lane instead of making him drive it.  My excuse is that I have never had a vehicle with low box and diff lock and all that techno stuff in before.  My lovely car I drive in has Economy, Sport and Winter settings however she does not go out in the snow as I am afraid of someone driving into her!! (Note to self - Ask Hubby to give her a good clean and polish so I can get some nice piccies of her for her layout.)  Oops, I digress.  Here is the layout...

Right, off to play with my CC2C for this week.  I started it last night but it took so long to upload the photos as they kept stopping that I lost the will to carry on!

Enjoy your evening and see you all soon.

Scrappy Tuesday - Czech Tock!

Hello Peeps

Time for Scrappy Tuesday again.  Another layout which I completed at the Retreat I went on with the lovely ladies of PENALLY.

I took a pile of photos to scrapbook going by the guide which Penny and Ally gave us and yet again I used a photo which was not intended to be used.  This was because I just loved the vivid colours of the papers and thought they went so well with the clock.

The clock by the way is the Anatomical Clock which is situated at the Old Town Hall in Prague taken in December 2008.

Hope you like it!

P.S. Incidentally, I went with the title “Scarlet Ribbons” for last week’s layout.  It was quite appropriate as some time ago I did another layout about Ribbons.  I will try and remember to show you that one next week!  Thanks Lisa!

Scrappy Tuesday - On a Wednesday - Just Me

Hello Peeps

Yes I know it is Wednesday and I am supposed to be doing Scrapbooking layouts on a Tuesday but I was soo intent on getting as many lessons of the Creative Chemistry 101 completed last night I did not have chance to put my posting on. (See previous two postings if you want to see what I have been up to!)   Not only that, I had already put two postings on yesterday so thought it may be a bit much to put a third one on.

So apologies for the wait and here is this week’s Scrappy Tuesday……
Can you believe this is me?

What do you think?  I love all those flowers and doodling we did!

I have still not thought of a suitable title for this layout either – maybe “Just Me!”.  If you can think of a better one, please let me know.

Thanks for looking and please leave me a comment so that I know you have been!

I also want to say "Hi" to my latest follower Borqna!  Thanks for following me and I hope you like what I do.

I completed this layout quite recently at the Retreat I went on with the lovely ladies of Pennally, which took place near Tenby.  This photograph was not the intended photograph for this layout (it should have been a landscape photograph for a start) but when I saw the papers I thought this photograph was a perfect choice.

We Wanna Be Together - Scrapbook Layout - Layout Tuesday

Hello Lovely Crafters

I was having a think the other day - yes, it did hurt.  And I thought of putting regular "feature" spots on my blog.  A lot of people I know have them so it was high time I had them too and it would help me remember what I am up to on my blog!!  So my plan is Tuesday Layout, WOYWW on Wednesday of course, and Snippets on Fridays.  Hope you are with me and I hope you approve of my lickle plan.

So.  Can anyone remember the advert?  "I wanna be a tree". "We wanna be together".  Those were two of the lines and I think it may have been insurance.  Now that is going to bug me!!

So on to the layout........

I completed this layout last month at the Pennally Scrapbooking class.

The subject as you regulars to my blog will know is my dear Hubby and our lickle dog Dobby.
When I was going to the class I took several photographs which I thought would be suitable only to find that this one was the best suited for colours and title.
Simon was poorly one night, which is very unusual for him, and so he crept downstairs to sleep in the spare room so as not to keep me awake nor infect me.  Nurse Dobby went with him.  I crept down in the morning and could not resist taking a photograph of the two of them in bed Together!

Unfortunately I do not know what papers they were, only the punch is a Martha Stewart punch all over the page and we used several punches for the flowers, a great favourite of Penny's!!  I still have the second layout of the day to complete (I had to skip home on account of going on holiday the next day, and I hadn't packed!).  The strips may be in the bag so if they are I will add them to this posting!

TTFN - off to take some piccies of my desk ready for tomorrow's Blog Hop!
