GM 37 - Wearable Art!

Ahoy Peeps!

Wow - Grungy Monday 37!!  Good Grief - how did we get to this number?  I know I have sadly missed the last two weeks due to holiday and life but I was determined I wasn't going to miss another week.  So wear!! do I start with wearable Grungy Monday with the lovely Linda?

First of all I thought of a Pinnieon (apron to most people) but then I had a brainstorm (yes it hurt) and decided to jazz up a pair of flip flops, which I was given by a well known company when I had my feet nibbled and toes painted last year.  It had been raining before I set out on my day out to Bath so I wore my boots to keep my feet dry.  I hate wet feet.

They were unfortunately very slow in our treatments, despite having booked in advance, so we did not get a chance to sit down afterwards and drink a cuppa whilst the polish was drying.  We had to leave straight away or else we had a two hour wait for the train.  So they gave me a pair of flip flops to wear home.  Fortunately it had stopped raining but there were quite a lot of dirty puddles!!

They were pretty boring and were going to be thrown into the recycle bag but thanks to Linda they have been grunged up and look far prettier.  So here they are.......

....and note the sunshine streaming in through the window on the flip flops!  I need to clean the windows now we have had sunshine to show up the dirt though!

A lot of fun to decorate, using grungeboard, tattered florals, Stampers Anonymous stamp, Rock Candy crackle, distress stains, distress inks, glossy accents, (I cannot remember the make of the flip flop stamp!), brad and braid.  I declined putting them on to take the photo as my toes are not exactly photogenic!

Grungy Monday 34 - Mayhem Magic - ATC

Hello Peeps

The Lovely Linda of Grungy Monday fame gave us two weeks to complete this week's Grungy Monday Challenge.  You may see the post HERE.  But before I start, can I ask a question?  Why is it that when I have a week to produce and post a Challenge I do so on the last day.  When I have two weeks I STILL post it on the last day!  Hey ho!  It would have been yesterday, but more below.

We were sent by Linda to watch Tim's video HERE to watch his little clip talking about Distress Crackle Paints.  I am already disadvantaged because I only have the one - Rock Candy.  Never mind, do the Challenge I will.   And, as I have recently fallen in love with the concept of ATCs thanks to Sarah, I will complete the Challenge as an ATC! 

So, here it is.....

The background was made by layering papers which I inked using Picket Fence and Chipped Sapphire Distress Stains (DS).  I have to make a note to myself to buy the Distress Ink (DI) of Chipped Sapphire!  Then I took a piece of masking tape, adhered it to the top layer at random and then tore it off, which subsequently tore some of the paper off.  I did this again in another spot, then I went over the background again with Chipped Sapphire and Picket Fence.

Here you can see some of the layers torn and also the bottom left curling up.  I like that!  

Then I added the Distress Crackle paint, having added water to it, as the Man himself told us we can do.  How cool was that?  Mine had gone a little gloopy and lumpy and I was considering throwing it away and opening the new bottle, but at least I have now got one more project out of the bottle, maybe another.  I left it to dry as we were told and then applied a little heat from the heat gun at the correct time.  

I then inked over the whole ATC with Faded Jeans DI in order for it to be worked into the cracks made by the Crackles.  I stamped the background with this lovely lady and the lickle stars - both Graphic 45 and unused until yesterday!  The lady did not stand out as much as I would like so I stamped her on a separate piece of card, inked her with Faded Denim DI and then added the white Perfect Pearls in order that she would shimmer in the spotlights.

Then came the magic part.  I used Perfect Medium to stamp the stars on the background as I intended to use gold Perfect Pearls  to add even more shimmer.  When I brushed over the stars, the Perfect Pearls went into the cracks and made the whole area look golden and shimmery.  I really liked the effect so I did not rub the crackle to remove the ink and pearls hard, just enough to remove what was on the surface.

I added the lady using foam dots so she would pop a little, made the sign and then proceeded to make the frame, on my own and with no supervision, other than Monkey who sits on my desk!  I deliberately did not colour the inside of the frame as I wanted to ATC to stand out.  Colour may have dulled the ATC I think.  I used Chipped Sapphire and Picket Fence DS on the outside of the frame and then stamped the frame using Archival ink.  A little Indigo wax smudged with my finger and attaching of the sign and off to photograph it.  Unfortunately, I had to photograph it twice, as I was not totally happy with the flash so wanted to photograph it again this morning in natural light, hence why I did not post this last night.

Grungy Monday 33! Explore ATC

I don't know about you guys, but the weather here sure is windy today.  Just the right sort of day to shut yourself into your craft room, den, bedroom, kitchen table or anywhere you wish to do crafting. 

After doing a little housework I have decided to come up to my Craft Room to have a little play on the Grungy Monday Challenge today over on Linda's Blog. 

Linda asked us to go HERE to Tim's Blog to see the technique of covering your fragment with alcohol ink and then stamping a design onto it and wiping it off to give a clear image of your stamp. Not quite sure what that technique is in shortened form. 

So here is mine.......

I have ventured away a little from my usual tagmaking and decided instead to make an ATC.  Having only made one as a make and take at a craft fair some 2/3 years ago, I consider myself to be a bit of a virgin when it comes to ATCs and have long admired those people who make them and make them well. 

The base is a canvas board to which I adhered, using gel medium, a page of a flora book.  I then covered the page again with gel medium.  Once that dried I stamped the whole piece using the stamp which I was using on the fragments (Inkadinkado - an old favourite) and coffee Archival ink.  Whilst that was drying I set to work on the fragments.  Three fragments, all different colours (9 alcohol inks altogether, Clover, Wild plum. espresso, pitch black, watermelon, denim, red pepper, sail boat blue and cranberry).  I inked several layers on each fragment and left to dry for a bit.  Made a cuppa!

Then I inked up sections of the main stamp with Archival ink and stamped the fragments one by one and wiped the ink away.  I adhered them to glossy cardstock and went back to the background piece.

I applied vaseline pretty liberally to the centre of the ATC and then painted acrylic paint over the vaseline.  Being an impatient kinda gal, I could not wait to let this dry on it's own and just had to use the heat gun.  So cool watching the whole piece bubble! I then wiped the paint off, stamped the corners with a Tim Holtz stamp, edged round the edges and applied the pieces, after having first alcohol inked a key and stamped the word "explore".   Don't forget to pop to Tim Holtz's blog HERE to see more wonderful ideas as to what can be done with a few stamps and imagination.

Having now stepped into the world of ATCs I think I shall venture to do more and am already thinking about my next piece ready for the Mojo Monthly Challenge for this month (click on the link in my sidebar if you fancy joining in).

Now I just have to figure out how I am going to get this alcohol ink off my hands as tonight is the Dinner and Dance for Burn's Night.  I am also dancing two solo pieces of Highland and National Dancing tonight and I am not sure if 88+ people will appreciate or understand why I have multicoloured hands despite putting handcream on before I started!  Woops!

I am also hoping that Hubby will let me borrow his saw tomorrow as I would really like to make a frame for this piece.  He bought me the wood, the pins and a mitre block but so far has not come up with the saw for me!

GM32 - Tag 7 - Watch the Birdie!!

I have just realised that this is my 150th post!  Woo Hoo!  Who would have thought I had enough stuff to talk about in 150 posts?  And who would have thought that in those 150 posts I would have 60 Followers - 60 people daft enough to want to read what I put on this Blog?  Thank you to each and every one of you for following me as I know if it wasn't for you I would not have kept this blog going.  THANK YOU!!

Tonight's post is to show you my lickle tag which I made as my Gungy Monday piece with the lovely Linda!  Grungy Monday 32 and I don't think I have missed one.  Please correct me if I am wrong.

Now this week, the lovely Linda has asked us to make a Tag using one of the lovely Tags that the wonderful T!m made in his Twelve Tags of Christmas 2011!!  But with a twist.  It is not to be a Christmas tag! 

This week Simon Says Stamp is sponsoring this week's Challenge and if you have not bought anything from Simon Says Stamp you really should pop over there as in my opinion they have the best selection of stamps and other stuff available for crafting. I can even say that the post is worth paying as the selection and the speed of arrival is great!

I have chosen Tag 7.  When I watched T!m using the Kraft Glassine I just knew I had to have a go and after Christmas I ordered a pad of the Glassine which arrived last week.  Thanks Linda for giving me the perfect opportunity of using it...

Well, I couldn't order the Glassine without any other "essentials" now could I?  I also ordered the Christmas stamp set which I have been wanting ever since I used Hels' text stamp (it has been used on this tag honest), as well as some more Distress Stains, two of which (Frayed Burlap and Chipped Sapphire) were the main colours on this tag.  Other colours of ink I used were Faded Jeans and Vintage Photo.

I am afraid that on every attempt to take a photo of the flower, the camera flashed but it does show just how much reflection you can get off the Glassine once you have used the alcohol inks on there.  Here I used Denim and Silver along with blending solution, and once I crinkled the flowers, I used Faded Jeans in the crinkles and a Laura Ashley brad.

The Post Card stamp is from the Christmas stamp set and the Photographer's stamp is from another of Tim's sets both using Archival ink .  A little dictionary paper behind the Glassine just to pick out the edges of the paper and some film strip.  The little birdie charm I got out of my box and wired and then I coloured some seam binding with the Distress Stains.  Distressed the edges using Faded Jeans and Vintage Photo.

GM31 - Happy Birthday Tim

Good Afternoon Peeps

Over on the Lovely Linda's blog this week's Challenge is to make a Birthday Card for the wonderful Tim Holtz in commemoration of his birthday yesterday.  Happy Birthday Tim!!

I wanted to make a monogram type of card but instead of black and white, I opted for browns - hope you like it Tim!

The stamped background is from my Darkroom Door stamp sets with my lovely Praha images.  Around the stamped piece I have stamped with Hero Arts and Penny Black stamps.   The lampost is made from the Sizzix die using MME paper and stamped with my favourite Stampers Anonomous flourish stamp and embossed with bronze powder.  The background piece to my sentiment is from the same MME paper.  I used one of the sentiments from the Darkroom Door stamps and cut both the sentiment and the background with my Spellbinders dies.  The whole piece is mounted on a piece of paper which was formerly the base of my spray box.  I just love using these pieces as they are beautiful colours. 

On the lampost I hung a Muse Token with U for Unique as that is what Tim is! 

I am afraid that I have Praha very much on my mind at the moment as Hubby and I are going to be visiting very soon!!  Yeay!!!  After the stresses and strains of the last few months of 2011 the thought of this trip has kept us going once we decided that we weren't going to cancel the trip!

Grungy Monday 30 - Tissue Tag

Hello Again Peeps

I know I said that yesterday's tag would be the last one for the year but I am female so am entitled to change my mind! So there!!  I also hadn't banked on making this tag until tomorrow but as there is a bit of a do tonight I decided that making a tag with a hangover may not be a good idea!!

The Lovely Linda has decreed that this week's Grungy Monday Challenge would be to use Tim's Tissue - either the new tissue paper or tape.  I don't have any of the tissue paper (sob sob!) so have had to use my tape.  In a fitting tribute to the fact that tomorrow is a New Year, I have made a tag for the occasion.....

This week the Challenge is being sponsored by the guys and gals of Simon Says Stamp and if you have not bought from these guys before they are well worth taking a look.  I have had a few orders from Simon and the last order took only a week to get here from USA!!  For the choice of stamps and other goods available, the carriage is worth it!!  One thing I truly love is the fact I can get Tim's stamps on wood (my favourite stamps!!), something you cannot always get in the UK.  In fact the flourish stamp I have used today (and quite frankly most days) came from Simon Says Stamp!

You must also go along to the lovely T!m Holtz's blog.  There you will find works of art and ideas which quite frankly, make your head spin!  Sometimes I come off his blog and don't know what I want to do first.

Here I have tried to show you the sparkle on this tag, something which you may not necessarily see looking head on in the photos.

Here's what I did....

I started the tag by stamping my favourite flourish stamp with clear embossing ink and sprinkling over clear embossing powder and heating with my heat gun.  Then I used my (only) two distress stains of Dusty Concord and Peeled Paint (sympathy aw here please!) and swooshed the inks over the tag.  I dried with the heat gun before spraying Cosmic Shimmer (Graphite) and then heated it to dry again.  Then I ironed the embossing powder off before stamping with Archival Ink in purple with the Crafty Individuals clock stamp.  A little distressing of the edges with the distress tool and Dusty Concord ink and then onto the embellishments. 

Here I made a rosette with the Sizzix die and made it the "T!m" way using a glue gun and tissue tape on the back.  I popped a circle of paper and added Distress Stickles (still wet when I took these photos!) to the middle.  I then used several tissue tapes and a washi tape and made gathered ribbon by attaching to strips of cardstock and ruffling it.  I trimmed the edges so that they had points and then stapled to the tag in various places.

I cut a die of the Reindeer (again Sizzix) and stamped it with a Crafty Individuals stamp and Dusty Concord DI and embossed with clear sparkly embossing powder.  Some black enamel for an eye and edged with DI and adhered using foam dots. 

The 2012 was made using my Quickutz dies and the ribbon was made with the Distress Stains - the reason why I bought them in the first place as I saw how they coloured ribbon beautifully.  A little elephant charm so I don't forget the friends I have made during my first blogging year of 2011  and Hey Presto - my tag is finished.

Tim's Tags - Day 11 - Grungy Monday

Good Evening Peeps

I hope you have had or are having a great weekend.  Today has found me in my Crafting Room making Christmas cards, the majority of which I have made using Tim Holtz's stamping technique from Tag 3.

The Lovely Linda of Grungy Monday fame gave us two weeks in order to complete the current challenge in order that we could incorporate one or more of Tim's Tags as our challenge.  I have decided to use this one...........Tag 11

As you can see it is not a Christmassey tag, but I could not resist using shrink plastic and alcohol inks with one of my favourite dies and stamp sets, and also the other passion in my life - sewing.   I have made the tag and rosettes using one of my favourite cardstocks by MME.  I bought absolutely loads of sheets of this particular design as I love it sooooo much.  I have also used shrinkplastic, wild plum and espresso alcohol inks, acrylic dabber, walnut stain DI and embossing powder, peeled paint distress stain on the lace and brown bazzill.

I love how this rosette has a beautiful glittered swirl in it.  I know for a fact that I could not get this to happen again!!

Grungy Monday 28 - It's a Cracker!!

Sorry Guys - I couldn't resist the title!

Well, here we are today on a miserable windy day in November and the race towards Christmas is galloping away.  Scrary thought for today is that it is now less than a month to Christmas!! Yikes!!

After having a few days to think about this week's Grungy Monday Challenge set by the Lovely Linda over at 3Ls and having gone to the post on the Tantalising Tim Holtz's blog, I woke up this morning with the intention of completing the challenge before I set out to my Scottish Dancing class this afternoon (and before I was even dressed for some of it but we won't go into that!) and here it is.  I hope you like it!

Those of you who have visited before will have seen some crackers that I have made using my Silhouette.  Well each Christmas Hubby and I buy each other a small gift, both in value and size, which will fit in a cracker which we open at the Dinner table on Christmas Day.  We don't buy those expensive crackers as the gifts are usually a bit naff and end up in the bin and so I usually  make some sort of crackers.  When I was making the other crackers I thought that these would be great for our table. 

With this challenge were were to cover something with the foil tape and then alcohol ink.  Tim used a fab pumpkin, I have used a cracker. 

I cut out the cracker on the Silhouette with bazzill (twice as the first one went walkabout as it was cutting - grrr!), then cut the foil to size and run it through the Big Shot with an embossing folder (my neighbour's daughter bought me this one as this is the one she and I used to make her Wedding Stationary - isn't it gorgeous!).  I stamped the diamond stamp up the edges and embossed with a white sparkly embossing powder then masked with post-it notes and stamped my lovely flourish stamp and embossed with silver embossing powder. 

Then I inked up the foil with a mixture of Wild Plum, Espresso, Snow Cap, Cool Peri and Rich Black alcohol inks and a little blender.  I carefully peeled off the backing from the foil and adhered it to the cracker.  Then I cut out the leaves using foil tape and card (stupidly I cut the leaves out of the foil before I had adhered it to the card!! Doh!!).  Then I used Clover, Juniper and Citrus alcohol inks to colour the leaves. Hubby and I spent yesterday evening making pine cones (and swearing! Those glue guns hurt!) so I used one of those and adhered them on with glossy accents.

A little black and white ribbon and glimmer mist on the pine cone and hey presto one cracker.  Now I just have to make another one in a colour more suited to Hubby for the Dinner table!  I might even make another two more so that they actually match the Christmas table!!  I may put a gift voucher in this one for my Mum :-)

Right, off to shower and get ready for my dancing lesson.  I am lucky enough to have a friend picking me up so I don't even need to drive.

What! Grungy Monday on a Monday!! Nah!!

Hi Guys and Gals

Well the weather outside is definately like the November we all know and love..... cold and miserable!!  Though at least it wasn't raining here in Wales.

Well, as you may gather from the title of this posting, I actually completed my Grungy Monday project on a Monday!  Yep!  Once I had read the Lushious Linda's posting for this week's Grungy Monday I was sooo excited I came into my Craft Room and got all inkied up! 

Can you guess what theme I chose?  Bet you will find it difficult..... I will give you a clue shall I .... It is a huge event in the Christian calender and it is next month.......

Did you get it right?  Well done if you did.  If you didn't then you are obviously one of those "last minute" people - a man!!!

HERE is where Linda sent us to see the technique for this week's GM.

I truly loved creating my piece(s) for this week's GM.  However, my first project did not look as good as I hoped so I made another tag.  Then I put the first tag under the daylight light on my desk, and ended up finishing it off to make a card.  Glad I looked before I delegated it to File 13 (the bin!). 

If you have seen some of my previous postings on GM you will see that I love making my own inkie mess using reinkers, perfect pearls, water and a mister.  Thanks Linda for this week's GM.  Loved it!!  I can see some more cards in a similar theme coming up.  Watch this space!!

Grungy Monday 26 - It's Beginning to Look Alot Like Christmas

Well I don't know about you but I can hardly believe that it is the end of another weekend.  Where did the last week go?

My post tonight is this week's submission for the Grungy Monday Challenge with the lovely Linda.  I can't believe we are on Week 26 - despite having a few weeks of extended challenges!

This week we were taken by Fairy Dust to HERE where we saw the lovely Tim Holtz working on a 2009 tag.  As Christmas is only 42 days away (yikes!) I thought I would follow suit and make a Christmas tag in order that I can use it to make a Christmas card (I don't have many made yet!!). 

So without further ado........

(I have no idea why the tag and the bottom of the card looks crinkly on this photo - it doesn't in the flesh!!)

I have to be honest, this is a second version.  The first was a little fiddly on the edges and did not look good so I filed that one and changed to this one.   Here is a close up of some of the details.  You can actually see here that I used the Distress Stickles! 

The Merry Christmas is a new acquisition which I think I bought when I was on holiday in  Cornwall.  Yes, I managed to find a scrapbooking shop in Camborne!!  Wherever it was I bought it I think it is going to become a favourite.  It is such a lovely design and prints lovely and crisp!

Grungy Monday 25 - Special People

Hello There Peeps.

I hope you are having a lovely weekend wherever you are.  Here in Wales we are having a lovely dry day - or at least so far.

I decided this morning that before I started doing any real work I would make my piece of artwork for the Grungy Monday Challenge with the Lovely Linda.  Click HERE to see the full article.

We were asked this week to "Use your favorite Tim Holtz products to create a loving tribute to a friend, relative or inspiring person who's passed away". 

Well I have to say that my favourite and most used Tim Holtz products has to be ink and stamps so this morning I set about making a scrapbook layout using a blank piece of Kraft cardstock and first of all chose my photograph. 

This photograph is of my Grandparents on my father's side.  I do not have many photographs of my Grandparents and this is one of my favourites because of the lovely grin on my Grandmother's face.  She is actually knitting for my father.  I am guessing the beach is Clacton-on-Sea as it was their favourite place to go for many years. 

I used a Heidi Swap mask on the right of the piece to make a circular design down the side of the layout.  I then used a TH mask over the top to add a little more depth and decoration.  I sprayed over the layout with a mini mister containing Red Barn reinker, Red perfect pearls and a little water (one of my favourite uses of TH inks). 

I also used another TH mask on the left hand side.  I then stamped using a TH stamp on the right hand side and also stamped sentiments on the right hand side and also embossed with clear embossing powder.  I then layered the photograph with a piece of red PP (from my scrapbox) and the large brown piece of cardstock I stamped my TH stamp and brushed Bronze perfect pearls over. 

I used a bought tag and stamped the TH stamp with clear embossing ink and powder.  I then inked and sprayed the tag before ironing off the embossing powder (another favourite technique).  Whilst working on the tag my Hubby brought up the parcel which had arrived by post in which contained my lovely stamps which I bought with my winnings from Simon Says Stamp (thanks guys!).  I realised that this was perfect timing and that the Love Wish Dream stamp was just what I needed for the tag.  I added a rocking horse and ribbon and the tag was complete. 

A little ribbon across the bottom of the photograph and two roses which I dipped into the Melting Pot and added perfect pearls to the edges and I was ready to start to put the whole layout together. 

I also used a Jenny Bowlin tag for journalling. 

I hope you like my layout.  I will have to do another similar one to use another photograph I have like this, only this time my father is on the photograph and my Grandmother is knitting for my Aunt!! 

Off to make my Christmas Cake now so will see you all later.

Good Evening Peeps

I hope you are all having a fabulous and Spooktacular Hallowe'en Weekend!  Don't forget we have an extra hour tonight.  In the case of most crafters I expect most will use it to have an extra crafting hour.  Unfortunately for me I will be tucked up in bed as I am a little under the weather with a chest infection!!  Yuk!!

To give me a little R&R I spent an hour in my Craft Room today so that I could take part in the Grungy Monday Challenge.  The lovely LINDA sent us HERE where we watched the Master of Distress Tim Holtz showing us a fabulous technique with Distress Inks and Perfect Pearls.

I have to admit, this is actually the second attempt.  The first attempt got sent to File 13 (aka bin) because I tried to stamp the design with different colours but it didn't look good so never mind.  I am afraid that this photo does not show the brilliance of the Perfect Pearls but I can assure you that in real life they are awesome!

Grungy Monday #23 - Tim in Ten!

Hello Peeps

 

The Lovely Linda over at the 3Ls site has come up with a real dooozey of a Challenge this week.  "Make a greeting card-- any theme you like-- using at least one Tim Holtz product, and make that card in 10 minutes or less!"  Not as easy as you might think. 

First, think of a technique which you wish to use.  So I looked at the board of tags in my room and decided on the technique I used in Grungy Monday #8.  Click HERE if you want to see my take on that one. 

Second, gather all the tools and trimmings you need for this Challenge.  I discover I am challenged in that I cannot find my Adirondack Lettuce ink pad so I use my Forest Moss DI instead.

Thirdly, set the timer.

Fourthly, deep breath and GO!

As if that isn't challenging enough, when you stamp the design onto the sheet decide that you like it so much that you want to give that card to your friend and you want to make another one for the tin so start stamping a second card. 

I didn't get to finish both cards in the 10 minutes but I did manage to complete the first card and stamp the flowery background for the second card in the time limit!  I even had to look for my Perfect Pearls mist too!

To save time to cut the background card, I used K&Co Mat Pads which were the perfect size.  Now I just have to determine which card I shall give to Vikki for her birthday tomorrow.  Decisions Decisions!!

I also want to give a HUGE Thanks to Linda and Simon Says Stamp for choosing my little Halloween piece last week as the Winner.  I haven't spent my winnings yet as there are soooo many stamps to choose from and I want to savour the moment.  I will show you when I have chosen them and they have arrived.  It certainly made my week!!

Yeay! Grungy Monday is Back - No. 22

I am soooo happy that the Lovely Linda at 3Ls is back with the Grungy Monday.  I cannot believe that I missed it! 

This week Linda chose the theme of Hallowe'en and told us we were to make something using any Tim Holtz products and techniques which we wanted to.  As I have recently bought the lovely Rosette die, I just had to incorporate it into the project.  So without further ado this is what I got inky with for Hallowe'en.....

I used a 7x5 canvas board which I sprayed with the colours I made on THIS project.  I really liked these colours and they show up so well on a white background and sparkle beautifully.  I cut out two rosettes using orange and purple co-ordinations papers and stamped them with my lovely TH Flourish stamp.  I made some Lotions labels using my Silhouette machine and also cut some TH Flourishes using another new die.  Punching some small circles I stamped some simple words and also cut some bats out with a Sizzix die.  I clear embossed the bats and the flourishes, stamped some images on the base before adhereing the bats, flourishes, labels, rosettes.  I punched some holes for the wires, twiddled some wire and added some funky fibres.

Grungy Monday 21 - Not a tag in sight today

Good Evening Peeps

Can you believe that we have had three whole weeks to complete the Grungy Monday Challenge and here I am doing it nearly last minute.  And would you believe I have not made a tag for this challenge!!!  Don't feint now.  I know it is a shock.  But see, I wanted to use fairly small facets just for the hell of it and also I wanted to use my new stamps that came the other day.  So without further ado........

We were sent HERE by the Lovely LINDA and were given several techniques to use some Facets.  I did make a fourth facet using alcohol inks but it came out a little too red to go with the rest of these, so I will use it elsewhere. 

Ah.  I have just realised why my room seems a little dark this evening.  One of my light bulbs has gone out.  Note to self, change the bulb tomorrow.  No point doing it now as it will be a bit hot!!

Off on a Mushroom Foray tomorrow as it is the Abergavenny Food Festival this weekend.  It is such a shame that it is raining this weekend!  Let us hope we don't pick any "iffy" mushrooms!!
