Mummy and Daddy's Diamond Anniversary

Hello my Lovelies!

My Wonderful parents celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary a couple of weeks ago and I had a little spark of an idea for the card I wanted to make.  When I saw my lovely Buddy's card for her friend's 25th I just knew it was the right idea.  So without further ado here is the card I made for my parents.....

This photo is one of my favourites of their wedding.  I scanned it from the little album that were given to their parents.  I have my Grandad's album...lucky me!!

A close up of the sparkly die cuts.  Can you tell I had great fun making this card?

Side view with another photo.  The box base I cut using my Silhouette so that I could have fancy edges.

And now one showing the happy Lovebirds cutting their cake.  I am telling you, I have never used so many blingies on one card!!

Top view.  I wanted to ensure that the bits looked as good from the front as the back so I adhered another shape to the back.
I used a few Snippets and had to raid the Christmas Snippets basket as I ran out of the silver.  Luckily I managed to find a few more bits.
Here is the card folded.

And now the other folded side.

This card took me several hours to make and all the time I was giggling as it was so much fun.  My parents loved it and my Dad, ever the engineer kept looking to see how I made it!!

I am going to sneak this into the Butterfly Challenge - K is for Knot...well the were tying the knot after all!!

I am also going to skip over to the Cuttlemania Challenge as there isn't a square in sight!!

Off to the Snippets Playground now to have a play and see if there is any choklit behind the bike shed!!  See you there!!

Happy Daddy's Day...

Hello there

Gosh didn't this weekend just woooosh right past your ears?  It certainly did mine, and I had an extra day off.  Myself, Debs, Sandra and Di had a Playground outing and along came Parsnip and Fergus.  It has been a while since Fergus and Parsnip met up.

I pinched the photo off Miss Di but I know she won't mind!

Right then.  Before June is totally over I thought I had better share my card I made for my Dad for Father's Day.  Here is the envelope which I made using my Memory Keepers envelope board. I just love how the dots were diagonal before I started it and now they are perfectly straight.  Freeky!

The snail stamps were bought ages ago and I have not used them so they are NBUS really.  My Dad shares his name with the Snail in Magic Roundabout, hence the relevance!  And here is the card...

Papers are VOS from Papermania and a Boofle pl sticker.

Not the most well lit to take a photo as the light was streaming in from behind the card.

But this close up is better.  The browns and creams were all Snippets so I am going to take this right down to the Snippets Playground.

I have had a bit of lovely news today too.  My number came up in Darnell's NBUS Challenge #1.  Yippee.  Sooo pleased. Especially on a Monday morning.

Thanks for calling by.

Tea on Tuesday...T stands for Twangy Card!

Hello There!

Happy Happy Tuesday Everyone! Yes that means you - my Blogging Friend.

As I mentioned today is Tuesday and I am sharing my latest project with you, whilst having a cup of Glengettie Tea!  Of course, this is linked up by the magic of t'internet with my friend Elizabeth

So today's project is a card I have made for my friend.  She likes pink!  Not that you could tell, right!  I actually started this card at the Crop with my buddy Di (who also likes pink) who showed me how to make the base.  The flowers and flutterbies I added when I got home.

So it kinda looks all innocent here...

And then you open it...
The morning was dull and grey here so you cannot get just how bright these pinks and yellows are.  I just love it.  Really old K&Co papers which I had free for subscribing to a magazine that has long ago become a distant memory.
A straight on picture.  Again, the light isn't good and too damp to photograph it outside.

Now the envelope is better as I took the photo from above.  Now these papers are VERY old and quite flimsy but they are just great to use up making envelopes with the We R Memory Keepers tool.
And of course, my cup.  It is a Cath Kidstone which my Buddy bought me for my Birthday a few years ago. It is quite a bucket size but perfick for my morning brew!

Now as well as linking this card up to the Tea on Tuesday, I am also linking the card with the Snippets Playground (a few used here including the white card and the "hello" piece - recycled from a gift card some time ago) and also the Butterfly Challenge, Butterflies, wet embossing and flowers.  Hurrah!  Three linkies.

Thanks for calling by. It is persisting it down with rain outside so I guess I shall be staying in now rather than get wet!
