Hello Friends
The Funkie Junkie star Linda has brought back the Twelve Tags of Christmas Challenge for 2013. Some of you will remember I discovered Linda last year when she was on Week 9 quite by chance and I had a ball completing all twelve tags in time for Christmas. This year I am determined not to get behind too far and so here I am to share Week 1. Click HERE to see the challenge piece with all the rules.
So here is my take on Tag 1......
As last year this challenge is being sponsored by Funkie Junkie Boutique which has lots of goodies for you to buy including some fabulous lace and Artistic Outpost stamps.
A little close up of the bottom of the tag. I just love the simplicity of black and white and I added a little musical theme of notes and music ribbon which was in my Snippet basket. Snowflakes were cut using Spellbinders dies and the flourishes, holly and edge dies are Tim Holtz. The Let it Snow stamp is a Docrafts NBUS!! The snowflake ribbon was in my coat pocket so I am not quite sure what it came off!!
Another close up of the top half of the tag.
Thanks for popping over and I am looking forward to reading your comment. For your information, I loved last year's tags so much they are still up in my Craft Room! I use them for inspiration ideas when my mojo has wandered!!
I shall be sharing this with the Snippets Playground as there are Snippets in there, including the ribbon and cardstock.
Up with the sun tomorrow off to London to attend a dancing Day School then we have VIP arriving on Sunday so commenting will be a bit hit and miss, but I will catch up next week.
Have a great weekend y'all.
Hugs
Hettie

Beautiful tag. I love the black and white color scheme. Very holiday-ish.
OMG... this is gorgeous! I love the black and white you have used. The ribbon is so perfect and love the MB music score you have worked in too!
Absolutely fabulous Sam! I love the musical theme and the way you tied (literally) it all together so well. I'm sure I got some of the same black musical ribbon when we had the Playground outing to Ally Pally - but goodness knows why you found a snippet of ribbon in your pocket :
Have a super weekend, hope you have a real blast!
Hugs, Di xx
Err! It was the snowflake button I found in my pocket!! Oops!

Gorgeous tags huni. I'll go and have a look at the challenge. Have a lovely weekend xx
Rather a fab looking tag. Love the black and white theme. Hugs Mrs A.
Wow! That is just amazing! Love all the little bits & bobs that made their way into this project!
Woohoo, so great to have you back playing with me for the 12 Tags of Christmas Funkie Junkie Style this year, Sam!! Sensational first tag. LOVE that music staff and the wonderful chalkboard effect you have achieved. And I got a great chuckle about hearing how the ribbon was in your coat pocket. Don't we all latch onto little tidbits we come across in every day life that we know we can put to use in a project down the road. Thanks again for joining in the challenge.
Hugs,
Linda
Hope your dancing day goes well and that you enjoy your VIP visit. Love this tag and am ready for another challenge now CC102 is done.
Your link HERE takes me to your Friday funny...very funny!
Love the black and white, Sam, not a colour combo you'd automatically think of for Xmas, but I love it.
Hope you've had a good weekend.
Hugs Lisax
Absolutely stunning Sam, and so elegant. I love the traditional green holly on the top of one.
