Hello Friends
Please forgive me for not being around much these last few days, but Hubby and I took a little break up to the beautiful city of York for our Wedding Anniversary. I have to say that this is one of my favourite UK cities. It is beautiful and compact as well as being absolutely steeped in history and intrigue. The people are pretty friendly too - as are most Yorkshire peeps!
So today I am going to share with you a few cards I made recently. The first for my parents for their anniversary which was a week or so ago, the second for my Boss on her birthday and the other for my tin...
A flower pot of pretty paper flowers. They will hopefully last a little longer if they do not go through the postal system too!
The top layer of flowers lift with a little card so you can write your message on.
Here is my boss' which she liked enough to take home. She was quite shocked to find I had made it for her too!
The yellow one is in my tin for another recipient and so I have not put any sentiment in/on it. I was able to cut some stands on my Silhouette for them to stand on instead of relying on there being something to lean them on.
Of course these have all been made using Snippets, with various punches and dies, as well as liquid pearls and small pearls which I am trying to use up. You know the ones where you get a sheet out only to find 4 or 5 on there!
Of course I shall pop these down to the Snippets Playground. Is it just me or do those pesky lickle snippets breed when they are in the drawer? The more I use the more I get!!
Before I go, I just want to say Hello and Thanks to my latest followers!

These all look fabulous-so lovely.
The card stands you cut are a great idea-they look very smart-as you say much better than just propping them up.They are beautiful and really deserve to be displayed nicely like this:)

York is a wonderful city, I spent a wonderful week there when I was 20 renting an apartment and spending time enjoying the city.
The flowers are fabulous, what a gorgeous idea.

These are beautiful! I remember, many years ago, purchasing pot shaped cards from Craftwork Cards, your are much nicer - the colours and the flowers are yummy x
Pots of lovliness, there Sam. I should hope your Boss did take her card home!!!! They are great and really unusual.
Glad you enjoyed your break "Up North". I'm glad you found us a friendly bunch. Next time I'll be putting the kettle on...you've been warned.
Hugs Lisax
These are really clever and I love the 3D of the flowers...they would not look like this for long after going into the postal system! These are for hand delivery only!

OH my goodness! These are so gorgeous!
I have them written down on my list of new things to try...I saw the idea on pinterest but yours are so much nicer than the one I pinned!
I love that you made three and we could see the subtle differences in the flower colours!
Great work Sam...what a wonderful way to use up snippets and stash!
I do know what you mean about those pearls when there are only a few left...feels good to see the back of the package!
I love York too. We have been a couple of times and I was sorry that we didn't get there this trip.
It truly is a beautiful city!
Belated Happy Anniversary wishes to you both!!!
You get the Queen of Snippets award for this presentation, Sam!! Real flowers would pale next to these works of art!! Hugs, Darnell
Such a treat this evening, to see all your pretty flowerpots. Each one was just lovely. I liked the way the posies decorated the top of your sentiment card too, and loving your Silhouette easel stand. Will have to look that up in the S.Store. Congratulations on your wedding anniversary, and lucky couple to get to visit York. A dream for me. Would love to go there. Also a Big Happy to your parents as well. Aren't wedding anniversaries wonderful to celebrate? Much more fun than birthdays!! TFS & Hugs
What beautiful bouquets! Can't decide which bow I like the best! I love how you can pull the sentiment out of the pot! Fun cards!
Hi Sam, these are all so beautiful! What lucky recipients! Love how the sentiment part pops up and the little stand you made for them, genius! Cathy x
