Hello Friends and fellow Blog Hoppers
Today is Wednesday and in blogging circles that means WOYWW or What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday hosted by the Lovely Julia.
Now ordinarily I would show you a photograph of my desk which is usually covered with all the paraphonalia of papercrafting, however today I am showing you my current work place.
With these beautiful warm and dry summer evenings I feel it is criminal to sit inside my craft room, besides the fact that being south facing my room is like an oven come the latter part of the day. So I have been bringing little jobs out and sitting on my bench whilst I let my Girls have an hour or so out of their run.
I also have a project that I have been working on since Sunday and I am tackling it in bite sized chunks....
Yep. All the windows are badly in need of a good sanding and painting, not being able to have done it for the last few summers on account of the damp summers! Downstairs alone there are 140 of these little perishers which I will have to sand, paint, paint again, paint the sills, (again probably twice) and then move indoors. I don't really want to know how many there are upstairs as they are Hubby's to do! If anyone wishes to bring a brush and/or bottle of vino, they will be most welcome as I feel this is going to take me some time!! Let's hope the weather stays fine!
I was watering my garden last night and I just loved the silhouette of these teasels in the evening light. They are about 9' tall now. Not bad for some seeds I just threw in in the hope they would take. I got four teasles last year and this year there must be around 30!!
Right. This is the end of my drivel today. Now it is time for you leave me a comment, if you wish, then hop HERE and then join in with the Blog Hop that is WOYWW!
Hugs
Hettie

Gosh I am in the midst of home renovations and I understand the dilemma of what is ahead the problem with me is I keep finding more of what needs to be done and yes some of that is painting windows.
Beautiful silhouette photo

Good luck with your windows - no wonder you didn't want me to wish for rain!! The teasels look stunning in silhouette!! Have a good day. Helen 19
Oh my goodness...you are going to be painting all summer! Now you have made me look out at the bunkie and yep...you caled it the door frames and both windows need the same!
The eaves will be a job for Dh...dont want to fall and brake anything before my trip! lol
That bench looks a great place to sit and cool off!
Fab windows but yes I can see how they must be a pain to paint! Love your bench and that silhouette photo is fab! Take care Zo xx 81
Yeah . . . okay . . . I'll bring a brush and some Mojito's (as I don't like wine) and some MASKING TAPE!

All those windows! Whew! Good thing they don't still have a window tax!! I love those giant teazles! We have some in a big vase - the silhouette of yours looks just great! I want to craft outside, but I'm worried it will all blow away! But on these still, humid days maybe not. Julie Ann xx #45
I'm on me way with me trusty water gun. Now we can either fill it up with paint and get the job dun in no time at all otherwise I can just stand behind you and kep you nicely watered down !!

Love the phot of the little window. The little peek inside to what behind the window is very intriguing.
Happy WOYWW and I wish you a lovely week.

Such a pretty bench - love it. The windows are fab but glad I have n't got to do all that work. Anne x #69
its one thing to paint outside but then there is painting outside not the crafting kind. Sounds like you are going to be very busy over the next few weeks.
What are you going to do with the teasels..... that picture would make a great stamp.

Now when you said a bench, Sam I thought you meant a common old wooden one, not this beautiful one. Goodness, I'd love that, no wonder you are enjoying using it. I agree it's far too hot for crafting although yesterday the sun got the better of me, a rarity indeed, and I retreated indoors to make some retirement cards I needed but apart from that no crafting here for weeks!!!
Love your teasels, they are so sculptural aren't they.
Good Luck with the windows, I'll not be joining you for this type of painting if you don't mind!!!!
Hugs Lisax
What a wonderful spot outdoors you have found to create, but I do not envy you with all that sanding and painting to do. Your teasels look wonderful in the evening light. Happy WOYWW and Happy Painting! Danie #34
That bench is so beautiful, do you wear a large hat whilst lounging there?? Lol, don't kick me!! And you must have earned so many brownie points by doing all that painting..that's a job I detest!
Hugs, LLJ 46 xx
I'm only just getting round to doing a bit of blog hopping to check out what my friends have been up to this week....a 6am to 9pm day with my gorgeous grandchildren yesterday sort of got in the way of blogging....but I'm not complaining cos it was a wonderful day. :-)
That's an awful lot of windows....must be a huge house! I love teasels too....they make lovely hedgehogs :-)
Hope you have a great week.

Love the look of that bench! How pretty, sure beats those miserable wooden ones!
Yup! My stamping block has seen better days, it's battered beaten up and well used but i love this one, it has 'curves' cut in the side so you can grip it easier and is also narrower on one side so it 'fits' in the hand! Not been able to get another one like it anywhere!
Thanks for dropping by and apologies for the late visit.

that bench looks so inviting, hope you get some offers for the windows, thanks for the snoop

OK...if you want...you can save a window or two for me. And I do so like your bench!!Have a great weekend-good luck with the painting!
Oh, and no desk of my own to show--just too darn hot to go upstairs, or outside (101 degrees today--ee gadz!)
Fab teasel photo - well spotted. Hope the painting goes well - it's a mammoth task. x Jo
Love the silhouette photo of your teasels but the windows... eeek, that's a lotta lotta windows!! Hope the weather stays fine for you to make a start and what a fabby wrought iron bench you have! Annette #8
It's just too hot to craft Sam - not something you would normally hear me say. Don't envy you your project. Your photogaph is fab - would make lovely toppers for cards too! Karen x
What a lovely alternative workdesk... and profitable tasks getting done too!

I have many workdesks! Oh sanding and painting is hard work, but I don't blame you one bit for taking advantage of better weather! Love that teasel silhouette! Enjoy!
What a lovely bench you have in your garden. I don't envy you with the sanding & painting. I am just procrastinating with washing our windows. May just wait until autumn as it's so hot at the moment. Windows look right foggy, they are so in need of a good bath. Oh well, more fun to make cards. Don't work too hard. I can bring some vino, but dunno about the brushes or sanders. Hugs & TFS
Forgot to say: Your teasels are lovely...this would make a good card focus!

Happy Belated WOYWW! OMG, Sam, those windows - eek! That's what you get for living in a freakin' castle with all those windows! I've got exactly six windows in my whole house!! Sometime I'd LOVE to see a picture of your castle; quick before the beautiful teasels overtake the place!
If I lived closer I be over in a minute with a brush and a bottle! I hope the warm weather holds for you and you have a great week!! Thank you for your visits, which I love! xxoo Darnell
REALLY funny! XX
I've done my fair share of sanding and painting. I am not wishing that on anyone.
What is a teasel? Never heard of them. But they are lovely in the fading light.
I’m not sure how late LATE is, but I’m here to wish you a beLATEd WOYWW from #2.
