Happy Stamping....

Hello Friends

Welcome to July!!  Let us hope this good weather we are currently experiencing remains for a while longer this time round.

I wanted to share a card I made recently for one of the girls in the office.  Very simple (for me anyhoo!) but I liked it and so did the recipient.

I took a piece of cardstock (some invitations that my Boss had made and I am now recycling - great cardstock and it seemed a shame to waste them!), inked my Paperartsy flower up with Bundled Sage Distress Ink.  Stamped it twice  (without reinking) and then stamped it again (without cleaning it - disgraceful) with black Archival ink.  I then distressed the edge, before mounting it on to a Snippet of green cardstock and placing on to card.  I punched another darker green snippet with the corner punch and adhered it on to the corner.  A sentiment from MME from years ago and just added some sparklies to the cornerpiece, a MS butterfly and hey presto my card was done.

I have to tell you about the corner punch I used for this.  It is rather large (about 5" square) and rather heavy.  It was a steal at the NEC craft show in November so it had to come home with me.  The only problem is I don't have enough oomph to press the top down enough so I have to place the card into it, place the punch very carefully on the floor upside down, without disturbing the cardstock, then step onto the punch with one foot and carefully balance myself in order to put my whole weight onto it!  Hubby thought it hilarious to find me balancing on it one day in my room!! I was only cutting bazzill cardstock and so not that thick cardstock!  No wonder it was only £4!!!  I do still like it though!!

Right, now I have given you a funny image, I shall leave you to go play in the Playground.   I have noticed that since I have been poorly things are a little too quiet in there.  Someone is up to mischief I think!!

Tally ho!!

Hugs

Hettie

Beautiful card, Sam - with a stamp that beautiful you don't need much else, but I love what you've done with the echoes in green!

I'm so glad to hear that you are feeling a little bit better, Hettie! I am running low of spending money since you haven't been over to the Playground to play marbles with me!!

You've made a splendid snippets card! I agree it is a beautiful corner flourish, but really, should you be doing gymnastics, hon? Can't your Mister lean on it for you, rather than barking guffaws? Hmmm?

Having said all that about safety, I'll talk out of the other side of my mouth now and verbally applaud you for the incredible finesse you must have to step up on the punch and not disturb the paper. I couldn't do that in a million years!!

Keep on getting better, please! xxoo Darnell

Oh good lord...I will need another pancake if I have to do punch calesthetics to get my dies to punch! Good Lord girl!
I can just see you jumping up and down! I guess this means you don;t want to play on pogo sticks at recess?

You've made me smile! I ditched most of the punches that I couldn't get to punch - I prefer dies so much easier and no more badly sprained ankles from balancing to get the blooming thing punched!
Gorgeous stamping, love the green, that my favourite green DI hugs Karen x
