Hello Peeps
Well! What a day it has been!! Wasn't the Wimbledon Final fantastic and nerve wracking? Well done Andy!!
Straight to the chaste, today I am sharing you a card I made for my big Brother recently....
He is a bit of a speed freak and loves to tinker with cars and/or bikes, so I used my Artistic Outpost stamps to make him a card. The background is one of those pieces from my spray box which I blotted up my stencils on in a recent project. I then ran it through an embossing folder which I then rubbed over with Treasured Gold.
I stamped the images with Archival ink, and embossed with embossing powder, coloured the driver using DI and a water brush, made a tag using an old London map and a Snippet of ribbon and them mounted all the elements onto the card. Inside I stamped the sentiment "never drive faster than your Guardian Angel can fly". The edges of the card were distressed and hey presto his card was done. He actually text me to tell me how much he liked the card!!! Wow!!
I am taking this down to the Playground as there are Snippets used in here as well as the Artistic Outpost blog.
Thanks for calling by and have a good week! Whatever you do, don't forget to use the suncream.

A great masculine card. Not surprised your brother liked it.
Wow! Love that grungy background and those masculine images. Such a great card. Best wishes in the AO challenge.

Wow! What a great artistic use of your overspray box paper. Very grunge-y & 'guy' looking. Loved the car & chuckled at your sentiment. I'm proud of your brother for immediately letting you know how much he liked it. Great job & TFS
Great card and great sentiment! I love that you used the overspray card...and the way you rubbed the embossing looks cool.
Kinda neat that he texted right away to let you know he loved it.
I had a wonderful surprise when i got home from the lake...a sweet little ATC addressed to Mrs Scrappymo...I loved it! The metalic edge and swirled bit are so stunning.
Just got an email from the grands with a picture of the big trout they caught up at Salmon Lake! They are grinning from ear to ear in the picture!
Great card not surprised he loved it. Hugs, Amanda x
Awesome inkyness! I wish I could do this, love it! Karen x
What a fab masculine card Sam.
I was reading in front of the TV while the Wimbledon final was on. Even though I don't like AM, I'm glad he won and was rooting for him.

So scrumptious - I love the big embossed flourish, what a fab touch, and great use of the AO stamps. Brilliant card, and I'm not surprised it went down a storm! Thanks so much for playing along at Artistic Outpost.

Spot on Sam! Brilliant card - super images and I love the embossed background.
We watched a guy showing how to 'blow' ink onto a background yesterday at the Craft Show - just using a Copic and the plastic case from a Bic pen to blow across the nib. Snort, Mrs A was fascinated and at one point I did fret that she'd end up spattered herself!
Super sentiment you sued there - must try to remember that one!
Hugs, Di xx
What a cool birthday card! Now I so love the way you combined those AO images with that awesome background! Love this!
