Recycle, Reduce and Reuse...Old Tag New Card

Hello Peeps

Sorry I haven't been around recently, but I have been a little under the weather this week with a nasty chest infection.  However, a few antibiotics and lots of forced rest and I shall be bouncing along to the Playground very soon.

I thought I would share a card that I made for a friend recently.  I am trying to create more shelf space in my room to try and reduce the amount of schtuff on my floor in my Crafting Room, so I decided it was high time I used the tags that I made for various challenges in the past.  So here is Emma's card, which she liked...phew!
The background to the card was made using a piece of cardstock from my spray box.  I added more colour by smooshing distress inks on my worktop, spritzed with water and sprinkled some perfect pearls in there and swooshed the card through, drying with a heat gun.  I then stamped and stencilled the background until I was happy with it.
I used some Washi tape, die cut some more Snippets, added some schparkly spots and hey presto Emma's card was created.
Here I am trying to show you the stencilling and perfect pearls (but they don't seem to show very well!).

Thanks for popping by and I shall be along to your blog very shortly.

Hugs

Hettie

Very pwetty indeed. Those colours look lush together. Great idea to use tags up. I have a hoard of them just collecting dust. Hugs Mrs A.

Lovely idea to start creating cards out of your tags... and this one's beautiful! Love that bird image, and the colours, diecuts and tapes in the background work so well.
Do hope you manage to throw off your infection properly in time for the weekend.

I know what you mean about creating more shelf space. I myself am trying to do the same. Buying craft items tends to be an addiction and things accumulate quickly.
All that said, I love your card. The background is gorgeous. What a perfect way to display your tag.

You just can't shake this nasty chest infection can you honey? Yuck! Hope you're feeling better soon.

Love the make, the bird stamp is gorgeous plus butterflies too, who could ask for more?

Have a restful weekend, should l pop round with a spoonful of medicine and my Mary Poppins bag?

Big hugs xx

Just popped back in from the previous post. I was sure I had already left a comment...so luckily I noticed that I had breezed right by with nary a word of praise!

This card looks gorgeous. I can see the stencils and the glimmer...and they look great!
That is a wonderful sentiment and I am drooling over the birds!
