CC2C Week Four - Faded Layers

Hello Peeps

Sorry I haven't been around a lot recently but I have had a week where life gets in the way of my crafting!  Drat!  It meant I missed doing the CC2C last week.  I will try and do it in the next week or so in order that I don't miss it totally!

Anyhoos, this week the Lovely Linda has asked us to turn to page 43 of the New Compendium of Curiosities book and have fun with this week's piece.  So here it is.......

I made my own mask using die packaging and using the Sewing Room Die.  Stamps used are by Tim Holtz and Stampin Up.  Distress inks used - Victorian Velvet, Crushed Olive, Rusty Hinge, Wild Honey, Aged Mahogany.  I actually used some Kaisercraft and Tim Holtz flowers and a brad from my collection (had them so long I don't know what make they are!).  I find lately I forget about my ready made flowers and tend to make my own!  Oops as I have quite a collection!  The bird wings and bell charms were bought on e-Bay some time ago too and this is their first outing.

If you want to join in the Challenge and you have the new Compendium of Challenges book by Mr Tim Holtz, why not turn to page 43, make a tag or card or anything using the technique and post it on to your blog and link with the lovely Linda.

Gotta fly. Mr Jethro Leroy Gibbs is about to make an appearance on the TV via internet as we missed last Wednesday's episode.

Please do not forget to let me know you have been by leaving me a comment.

Hugs

Hettie

Wow, Hettie, those colors are pure magic together! Great job on the technique, and I'm very happy you were able to join in again this week. It's not the same without you!

I can't believe I missed this!! The colors are great and our masking came out wonderfully! I love those bell charms; I need some as I have a hanging thingy in my car, and I've lost more than a few of the bells; off to ebay! Have a great weekend.
